With the entire world at our fingertips, these days, we simply know too much to plead ignorance when it comes to investing in an engagement ring. From questionable mining and trade practices to global warming, it can feel like every ring comes with a 10-year warranty and a lifelong guilt trip. But fear not, more and more jewelers are opting for ethical and sustainable alternatives to what are now outdated methods, so you can wake up every day on the right side of history. From lab-grown diamonds to ethically sourced mined diamonds and recycled materials, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite designs out there. Each of these jewelers has a great selection of timeless classics, but for this post, we skipped the basics and went with some of their more unique designs so you can get a feel for what each line is all about.
