A Bridgerton Inspired Shoot That Is Sure To Be The Toast Of Lady Whistledown’s Latest Pamphlet

Elegant wedding portrait of bride and groom indoors

Bridgerton, the series that launched a thousand shoots, is back at it again with this stunning interpretation by an Italian team in Como. From the literal palace to the modern interpretation of Regency-era fashion, this shoot screams luxury! Gilded walls, stationery, and table settings mesh beautifully with delicate pastel florals and palatial marble. Lady Whistledown would be hardpressed to find anything short of complimentary to say about this over-the-top gorgeous inspiration shoot that is, no doubt, fit for nobility.

Soft light bounces off of every surface in these photos by Wedding Cherie, making the subjects absolutely glow. White Dreams managed to secure Sala Bianca Del Teatro Sociale Di Como, an outrageously gorgeous venue, and included subtle nods to their inspiration in every aspect of this wedding design. These floral arrangements by Fiori In Riga look like still lifes from the 1800s, they couldn't be more perfect! Need more? You can see all of the images in the full gallery. INSPIRATION STRUCK

After having watched the series on Netflix, my team and I were so thrilled about it that we couldn’t get rid of this Bridgerton fever, its adventures, the sparkly ball gowns, and the endless romance. We were so inspired by this that we wanted to create a setup with a pretty aesthetic in a Regency location with beautiful, large palace rooms, and a sense of glamour. Our aim was to reproduce the similar atmosphere of the series to show how every bride can include these details in their wedding, and that you can do an event on a small scale and it can still be super stylish. All the stunning images were taken by Wedding Cherie. The bright colors of her shots represent the mood in the best way. The whole day was curated by White Dreams in her hometown, and it was a delight to be able to express myself and show how a small and intimate weddings can still be unique and wonderful.

THE HUNT FOR A PERFECT VENUE

First, we looked for a venue that could easily recall the elegance and the pomp, with a great touch of golden details and furnishings. In addition to this, the ballroom of the Sala Bianca Del Teatro Sociale Di Como, where we shot, has the perfect royal atmosphere of the Regency era, so our choice was simple. For the color palette, we decided to feature the tones of the room and opted for pastels, warm white, gold, and shades of pink with a touch of light blue and fuchsia. As for the floral arrangements, Fiori In Riga designed some very delicate centerpieces in cups, surrounded by candles in golden candlesticks with tulips, delphinium, carnations, orchids, roses, and buttercups.

HOW TO SET A ROYAL TABLE

Opulent dining room with chandeliers and flower decor

The imperial table was set for just six people and it is perfect for the post-COVID couple who want an intimate wedding without losing the romance, luxury, and fairytale atmosphere of the event. The table settings, supplied by Born To Rent needed to be very impressive, elegant, and should have a royal vibe. We chose the so-called Versailles line, with chargers and glasses full of golden details. Wild Paper designed the perfect invitations, menus, placeholders, and vows using chalk-colored cotton paper envelopes, handmade with gold leaf inserts. The font of the text is inspired by one used at the beginning of the 1800s. Putting together all the elements for the stationery, we added a bee plate and also a bee hair comb because it recalls the Bridgerton family crest. For the sweets corner, Qualcosa di Dolce created a white two-tier wedding cake embossed with decorations inspired by a traditional English tea, some pastel macarons in two different sizes filled with raspberries, eclairs, and doughnuts with cream.

DRESSING THE PART

The wonderful gold engagement ring with a Prasiolite gemstone and the two different wedding bands were provided by Linea Laboratorio Orafo. The bridal ring is enriched with details and handmade decorations. The groom's ring is simpler but still impressive. We opted for two different bridal styles because our aim was to represent two different moments and types of women. Our ideal bride is a fresh and delicate girl who prefers a genuine look. We chose a very natural hairstyle with some beach waves and fresh makeup, done by Lina Pagano for the boudoir shots and the first look with the Atelier Emè wedding gown.

The soft tulle wedding dress with its long train, warm white color, and details on the bodice, is designed for a classic and romantic bride. As for the bridal accessories, Nea Milano opted for a zirconia embellished star tiara and drop earrings. The second wedding dress is a sophisticated organza jacquard gown for a modern bride. Its detachable puffy sleeves, which were a trend in 2020 and likely will be in 2021 too, and the bow on the back, are some details that represent a reinterpretation of the exquisite costumes of the Regency era from a contemporary point of view. For the second look, the hairstylist created a simple bun, enriched with another Nea Milano flower coronet with tiny blooms and crystals, beautifully paired with the flower drop earrings. For the groom's look, we chose two different outfits by Sanvenero. The first one is a formal, traditional English suit and a dark gray tie to match with the more classic bridal gown. The second one, a smoking jacket to complement the youthful and fresh wedding dress of the bride.
