Modern Inspiration Shoot In A Little-Known French Wedding Destination

Surrounded by misty mountains, in the Dordogne Valley of France is a secluded chateau that played host to this elegant French wedding inspiration. With the bride in an over-the-top gown with one of the biggest bows we've ever seen, this shoot doesn't shy away from embracing a statement moment. Classic cars and French confections add that extra layer of extravagance to this already elegant affair. Leaning into a modern black and white color palette with touches of bright orange, this wedding inspiration is timeless without being predictable.

Oui mon Coeur designed this inspiration shoot to highlight a well-kept secret, the Dordogne region of France, and the beautiful Chateau De Rouffillac. Le Coeur Sauvage designed these stunning florals including the hanging floral canopy that ensconced the dreamy al-fresco dinner set up. Celine Chan Photographie and Veronique Chesnel Photographer worked together to capture all of these dreamy details and Defrance Productions got it all on video, which you can see below. A LITTLE-KNOWN DESTINATION

This wedding inspiration photoshoot was part of the l'Editoriale series created by Oui mon Coeur, a wedding designer, and planner based in the Dordogne area of France. We envisioned an all-encompassing photoshoot for the modern, avant-garde couple that dreams of getting married in France. We take pride in the fact that our country has many assets to offer, from dreamy Paris to the magnificence of the French Riviera, but we chose to set our vision in the Dordogne valley, an understated yet beautiful region, perfect for couples looking for the more intimate vibe of a French affair. With lush gardens everywhere, the secret luxury venue, Chateau De Rouffillac boasts an incredible view of the Dordogne river.

DESIGNING AN ELEGANT AFFAIR

Wedding ceremony vows exchange with floral arch decor

A lot of black and white everywhere, mixed with yellow, bright pink, and orange flowers and decor–this was our idea of an elegant and modern wedding. The calming vibes and soothing valleys of Dordogne were the ideal combination for an al-fresco dinner for this beautiful intimate wedding. A tent covered in flowers was perched above the dining area where guests were invited to enjoy the late summer evening. With Chateau de Roufillac as the venue, the planning and design idea was organized by Oui mon Coeur. Le Coeur Sauvage created the floral design alongside Celine Chan as host photographer. Veronique Chesnel lent her talents as the second shooter. The photoshoot could not be complete without the work of Defrance Productions who was in charge of capturing the magnificence of this day on video.

DRESSING THE PART

Imagine walking down the aisle in a couture big-bowed wedding dress with the calming valley of Dordogne as a backdrop. That’s precisely what we envisioned and put together in our photographs. The bride’s gown and the groom’s suit were created by none other than Bencivenga Alta Sartoria. Our goal was to enhance the jaw-dropping bow dress with Chanel-inspired accessories and colors that never go out of style. The complete look was given by the beauty artist Modern Bride Paris.
