This Inspiration Shoot Is The Barn-Wedding Equivalent Of Glamping

Bride and groom embrace tenderly on their wedding day

Do you love a good barn wedding, but you're not a rustic couple yourself? You like a good country photo-op, but you're more about "nature" than real nature? Then, we've got the inspo shoot for you! This stunning black and white barn venue gives this country wedding a sleek modern twist. There are plenty of trees, but they're beautifully manicured and every pathway is perfectly paved. Wood elements tie in that woodsy feel without being too raw while modern metal and bright upholstery hold on tight to that modern edge.

Photographer and Event Designer, Jennelle Gee, and Event Planner, Kennedy Maddox Events worked together to dream up this innovative twist on a barn wedding and we're obsessed! We can't say enough about the Barns At Willow Creek, the versatile and spacious venue where this shoot took place. These sunny florals by Mahina & Soul were designed for a cheerful spring wedding, but honestly, they could work for summer or fall too! To see more from this shoot, check out the full gallery. A ONE-OF-A-KIND VENUE

What a beautiful day it was for a shoot, we couldn't have asked for better springtime weather! As Kennedy, from Kennedy Maddox Events, and I drove onto Barns At Willow Creek, I was floored at how much of a hidden gem this venue was. HOW and WHY have I never been here before?! The 40 acres of perfectly manicured land made me so excited to capture Emily and Matt. The photo opportunities were endless! The rustic, yet modern, with subtle boho undertones of Olgas Rustic Rental suited the venue perfectly. I just loved the contrast between her pink and camel-colored chairs against the stark white barn doors.

GETTING THE LOOK

Rustic barn wedding reception with pink velvet chairs

Emily's dress from Diamond Bridal Gallery was absolutely perfect for this shoot, I couldn't believe how well it fit my vision. The flowy sleeves really made it! Emily's romantic and sophisticated updo by High Desert Beauty was amazing–not a single hair was out of place! Her makeup from MBK Makeup Artistry had a gorgeous highlight that popped in this springtime sun! The camel-colored suit from Tuxedo Den paired with the luscious bouquet from Mahina & Soul complemented each other flawlessly when the couple was together. Morgan, the maid of honor, had a stunning dress with fluttery sleeves from Bella Bridesmaids and she looked beautiful in it. I love that it wasn't a solid color and that it had a print on it.

BRINGING IT ALL TOGETHER

The calligraphy and stationery from Spilled Ink Calligraphy fit the theme so nicely with the raw edge paper and pop of green for the envelopes. The cocktail hour consisted of a beautiful charcuterie board from The Dancer's Pantry and almost too-pretty-to-eat treats from Bella Delites Bakery. Finally, the cake from Biancaakaa Bakes...WOW!! We were all drooling over it all day and were in love with how much of a piece of art it was. Bianca really outdid herself. The evening ended with a little sparkler send-off. This was truly the dream team!
