Timeless Estate Wedding With A Breathtaking View

No, this estate with its grand terrace and mountain views isn't nestled in the French countryside. It's in California! Don't worry, we had to do a double-take too. The beauty of a venue like this is that it has all the charm of a destination wedding at a fraction of the travel cost for you and your guests. Just add French champagne, a romantic tulle gown, and of course a few pops of French blue, and there, you have it, your French destination wedding right in your backyard.

An Occasion pulled inspiration directly from the venue, Grey Pine Country. The soft greys blend perfectly with the grey stone, and for the ceremony, the team merely enhanced the already stunning terrace. An Occasion also designed these beautiful floral arrangements. To keep the look timeless, they used mostly white with subtle blues and a hint of yellow. These photos by Tiffany Longeway are so airy and romantic you can almost feel the mountain breeze. A FAIRYTALE VENUE

Tucked up high in California’s Sierra Nevada foothills is the stunning Grey Pine Country Estate. From the front circle drive and the fountain to the back terrace with the most drop-dead gorgeous views. This venue truly embodies the classy French estate vibe. The driving theme behind this shoot was to complement the already in place romance Grey Pine embodies. The dusty steel blue, white and grey color pallet perfectly complements the grey exterior of the venue. The pops of yellow add some fun while creating a bit more of a dynamic overall color scheme. The ceremony was located on the back terrace. To take full advantage of the stunning view we decided to forgo a traditional wedding arch and instead frame the half-circle terrace with greenery and floating candles and let the stone railing frame in the couple.

GRAND AND ROMANTIC

For the dress, we wanted something grand yet still soft and romantic. The delicate little white polka-dots and flowing sleeves on the wedding dress perfectly embodied the feeling we were after. The shoe's tulle bows and matching polka-dot tulle fabric could not have been more perfect. This editorial also features handmade wedding day jewelry as well as the full invitation suite.
