Madison and Kyle are faith-based, fun-loving, and have absolute hearts of gold. At first meeting I knew their wedding day would be filled with huge smiles and the most special moments. The couple really wanted to gather all the people in their lives together to celebrate their love. That meant finding a large venue with lots of space for their fun day. The Grand Ivory in Leonard, Texas is a sprawling family-owned venue that was a perfect spot for Madison and Kyle to become Mr. and Mrs.
The Ceremony
The day was filled with the couple's personal details and a true reflection of their love for one another. They wanted their ceremony to incorporate worship, featuring live songs sung by a friend, vows written in a special journal the couple shares, and an intimate communion for the couple. The mid-summer Texas sun was shining through the ceremony space and allowed the whole room to glow with love.
The Reception
The reception was a mix and mingle setup with board games (including checkers with the bride and groom's faces on the pieces), fun stations from CN Catering with crowd favorite foods like tacos, and a rocking party featuring The Royal Dukes Band! The couple, their parents and wedding party surprised all the guests with a flash mob. It was so much fun to see the surprised look on all the guest's faces!
The Decor
The bride wanted to keep the decor simple and timeless but to also match the white barn venue. Blushes, light wood tones, and sprawling greenery were throughout the design. One of the show-stoppers was the floral ring surrounding the bridal cake from The Butterfly Cake Factory. The ring was handmade by the groom and was used during their proposal. How amazing is that?!
The Unique Details
Both the bride and groom went to Texas A&M University and wanted to share their pride for their alma mater with their guests. The groom's cake featured a large university crest surrounded by photos of them at A&M game days and their college experience. At the end of the night, the couple joined the other A&M grads for the War Hymn and even donned custom jerseys with their new name on them.
Another favorite detail was the custom wine bottle labels the couple added to each bottle they served! Such a fun, inexpensive and easy way to make your wedding day even more personal. Plus, they make a really fun keepsake!
The newlyweds left their wedding reception in a sea of bubbles and hopped into the groom's family's old car. The father of the groom fixed it up and made it road ready for the couple and it was a special way to cap off their wedding day.
