A Tuscan Summer Wedding Like You’ve Never Seen Before

We've seen plenty of stunning Tuscan weddings, wine country, breathtaking views, and historic villas...the weddings there practically design themselves! This wedding though, it's unlike any Tuscan wedding we've ever seen! It's a bohemian dreamscape complete with a fringe rug aisle and abstract wooden backdrop amid a picturesque pastoral scene that only Europe can provide.

LIVING THE DREAM

We are an Italian couple and are wedding industry professionals. Anthony is a wedding photographer and I have been planning weddings for a few years. I'm also planning on helping my husband with his wedding photography.

We met in 2006 when we were very young. Together, we moved to Florence where we bought a house. We travelled all over the world, discovering our passion for traveling, but especially for Asia. The wedding proposal was in Delhi, India, during one of the most incredible travels of our lives (we just had a baby girl and her name is India :-)).

A TEAM EFFORT

We planned our dream wedding taking care of every single detail with a lot of love, and with the help of Silvia Bargagni, from Magnolia Wedding Planner. Our friends told us that we were reflected in every single wedding detail. The idea behind our wedding was to create a bohémienne party, in contact with nature and with our Tuscan countryside (that's why we were barefoot during the ceremony).

We worked closely with our vendors to create the design for the day. We made a lot of DIY projects, the biggest one is the 28 meters of macrame runners for the dinner table, but we also had the wedding date written on a wooden pallet and other small details.

The overall design of the event was a very important part of the wedding planning and the work and the ideas of the Stiatti Fiori team were unbelievable! They perfectly captured our idea and transformed it into reality. They used rustic Tuscan elements, bohemian accents, and vintage touches.

The venue was absolutely our dream venue, Locanda In Tuscany-immersed in the countryside of Val d'Orcia and full of unique and rustic details. Nature takes center stage!

Selecting the right photographer and the videographer was truly important for us, as you can imagine. We were looking for something special and hiring Roberto Panciatici for the photography and Evergreen for the video were the greatest choices that we could have made.

The wedding dress was a Lilian West dress from Barone Rosso Sposa and the groom's suit was tailor-made by Linneo. The cake was a triple-layer cake: lemon/vanilla, coconut/raspberries, and pistachio/champagne made by Sugarcups Cake Design.

MAKING MEMORIES

Our favorite memory of the day is the moment we arrived for the ceremony; I remember the moment when I saw the emotion on Anthony's face and I swear that I will remember that look for all my life; we wrote every single word of the ceremony and we truly felt that it told our love story.
We created the music playlist for the ceremony and aperitifs with the Australian duo, Tobi Music. They played a mix of our favorite songs acoustically and it was so emotional. After dinner we had a DJ, Lorenzo Zanobetti, so we could dance all night long!

Our advice to brides and grooms is to create a vision for their dream wedding and to work with your vendors to bring it to life. Trust them and don't think that with a small budget you can't create something personalized. But mostly, HAVE FUN!
