their love story

wildflower wedding bouquet

Destined by the city that never sleeps, Rachel and Andrew’s love story began with their first date at a bar in NYC’s West Village. Whether it was love at first sight or the candlelit ambiance, we may never know — but from that moment, their journey together had been set in motion. They became engaged in Fort Greene Park near their Brooklyn apartment after a breakfast picnic. Following the proposal, they made their way to the rooftop to unveil a surprise engagement party, surrounded by many of their closest friends.

the vibe: earthy meets industrial

flower arrangement for wedding ceremony aisle

Rachel and Andrew’s rooftop wedding ceremony seamlessly blended earthy and urban elements, offering unparalleled views of Cleveland’s skyline. The celebration, designed and planned by Oak + Honey Event Planning Co., took place at Truss Event Venue, which featured a rooftop and modern ballroom space, each with stunning cityscape vistas. Greenery cascaded across the beams of the chuppah, infusing the urban setting with a garden-like feel. During the ceremony and cocktail hour, a string trio played a curated list of tunes, with Rachel walking down the aisle to the theme from "Succession". A summer color palette of soft pastels infused their florals by Molly Taylor & Co., while greenery continued to spiral along the ceiling beams indoors. Woven basket lanterns added a touch of summer warmth. The couple personalized the look and feel of their menus to capture the exact mood they envisioned—airy, modern, and bright.
