the vibe: vibrant and playful
Kelsey wanted her wedding to reflect her bold, bubbly personality, and that meant vibrant, playful, energetic colors. The bride's love for fun patterns and colors started when she worked at Anthropologie, so Gracie from Boho Chic Dreams knew they needed to bring that playful, colorful spirit to life at Rincon Beach Club.
the invitations
Your wedding invitations are a great way to incorporate the lesser-used colors from your wedding design. Note how Kelsey and Brandon went with a blue and white organic motif that not only tied in the waves of the beach destination but the modern and colorful vibe of the entire day.
the florals
They decided to incorporate bold citrus-infused blooms, locally grown dahlias, bright red hydrangeas, fiery red carnations, peach roses, and peach hydrangeas, a pop of light blue florals, and with zero greenery in sight. The result was a vibrant color palette that still held onto the elegance and beauty that a wedding deserves.
After losing her grandmother, Kelsey shared that yellow had always been her grandma’s favorite color, and she’d always had yellow roses in her life. And get this—just that week, Gracie’s yellow Julia Child rose bush bloomed perfectly. It felt like a sign that her grandma was watching over Kelsey and Brandon’s beautiful day. They were able to incorporate those yellow roses into Kelsey’s bouquet, making it even more meaningful.
the fashion
From the bride's playful peplum to the neckline and hem of the bridesmaids' dresses, ruffles were a theme throughout the day's fashion choices. Kelsey looked radiant in a lace mermaid gown with a delicate flutter sleeve and wore her hair down in tousled waves. The colorful bouquets popped against the cool gray bridesmaid dresses that tied into the lighter tones of the water on the horizon. Brandon understood the assignment and went beachy chic with his look, sporting a tan linen suit and white shirt.
a photo guest book
In lieu of a traditional guest book, the couple supplied their guests with Polaroid cameras and encouraged them to snap a selfie. You know, we love an interactive guest book!
