their love story
Ben and Isabel’s story began at the dog park, where a trio of playful pups made an introduction that would change everything. What started as small talk between strangers became easy laughter and the first spark of something lasting. Isabel was drawn to Ben’s blue eyes and gentle humor, while he was immediately taken by her energy and effortless charm. A year and a half later, on a sun-soaked trip to San Diego, Ben proposed at Calumet Park overlooking the ocean, with a hidden photographer capturing the moment. It was the perfect full-circle nod to his favorite place and the start of their next adventure together.
the vibe: courtyard garden romance
This joy carried into their spring wedding at Bishop Station in Atlanta, a celebration that married city sophistication with the romance of the Italian countryside. Planned by W Events, soft hues of pink, blue, and green filled the day, from the garden-inspired ceremony florals by Forte Fleur Floral Design to the sunlight pouring through the windows of their reception. Isabel walked down the aisle on her father’s arm as her brother played the guitar—one of the day’s most heartfelt moments—and later, she surprised her mom with a mother-daughter dance that brought everyone to their feet.
the fashion
Isabel fell in love with a stunning mermaid gown with a square neckline and lace appliqués that mimicked the vines growing up the garden wall of the venue. Her bridesmaids chose a beautiful assortment of peach-hued satin dresses that complemented the pastel palette beautifully. Ben and his men looked equally dapper in textured navy suits and pastel neckties.
trending: table captains
Their guests were treated to plenty of thoughtful touches, including “table captains,” the most outgoing guest at each table, crowned with a captain’s hat and tasked with keeping the energy high and laughter flowing.
the cake
Bundt cake towers, a chic outfit change (complete with sneakers!), and cascading greenery overhead set the tone for a night that was equal parts elegant and fun. It was a day defined not by perfection but by personality—warm, genuine, and joyfully theirs.
