their love story
Brandon and Lexie’s love story began in their hometown of Kingston, Jamaica. They met as good friends and eventually fell in love. During a trip to South Africa in September 2022, they took the next step in their relationship when Brandon proposed at The Waterford Estate vineyard. Lexie knew immediately that she wanted a June wedding, and preparations soon began.
the vision: island elegance
Representing both their beginning and future together, Brandon and Lexie hosted their wedding at Lexie’s family beach home in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. With more than 400 guests in attendance, the couple shared an energetic, effortless, and unforgettable weekend. Naturally, a color story of sandy neutrals and soft blues complemented the island setting. The altar arch, which Lexie described as “truly iconic” and “the most beautiful arch I’ve ever seen,” set the tone. Guests gathered on the lawn to bear witness, with a ceremony platform overlooking the water. As Lexie stepped out of the estate, she walked beneath a doorway draped with flowers suspended from strings—a recurring floral motif that carried an airy, light energy throughout the day.
the flowers
Flowers were a major part of this beautiful estate wedding! From the breathtaking arch that framed the ocean view to the ornate floral monogram installation, Pussbackfoot went above and beyond to bring the vision to life.
the invitations
Keeping things classic, the couple opted for timeless ivory invitations with blue embossed text and a toile envelope liner that added another little hint of the color palette to come.
the signage
One of the things that made this wedding design so cohesive was the signage. Dragonfly Experiences did a great job of making sure the guests knew exactly where to be, when to be there, and what to do, and they communicated it beautifully through curated alternating blue acrylic and reclaimed wood signage.
the fashion
The bride wore an elegant ball gown by Zuhair Murad, making her way to a reception and dinner served beneath the stars. Dancing unfolded under a ceiling of suspended flowers on strings, creating a spectacular scene above the sands. As the evening drew to a close, Lexie kicked off her heels, changed into a chic mini dress, and posed barefoot on the beach with her husband. And despite all the grand moments of wonder, the couple’s favorite memory was their first look—when all their nerves melted away, leaving only love.
the drinks
The drinks at this wedding were so dang pretty, they simply NEEDED their own section. From spicy margaritas and bottled specialty shots to crisp rosé and fruit-infused water, these guests were well-hydrated, for sure!
the cake
The couple chose a chic three-tiered classic wedding cake with textured buttercream frosting for decoration. In addition to the cake, they also served a family favorite, chocolate chip cookies—yum!
