South Farms is an iconic New England family-run farm located at the gateway to the Berkshires in northwestern Connecticut. Committed to highlighting the uniqueness of Connecticut’s historic farmland roots and bright agricultural future, South Farms is one of New England’s premier destination farm venues. During the summer, they host Farmer's Markets.
a little bit of everything
We wanted to showcase this amazing venue with this styled shoot. I visited the farm in the winter and fell in love with it immediately, and soon after I started planning. With the help of Katey and Leigh, the duo behind KLW Design Co, we turned the loft and hay room into a perfectly styled vignette. They provided the beautiful florals, along with vintage furniture, china and other little details. Brittany and Jess from Upstyle beautified the model, Kristie. Brides to Be provided the gown, which is designed by Wtoo. Hartford Prints designed the letterpress invitation suite. Although this was in a barn, we wanted to stay away from the typical "rustic" theme and do something different. A little bit country, a little bit rock and roll I suppose :)
