How To Choose The Right Destination For Your Wedding

When you love to travel, a destination wedding is a no-brainer, but how do you choose your destination? The key to picking the perfect destination is to consider the following factors: transportation and lodging logistics, aesthetics, and weather. If you focused on aesthetics alone, sure, the North Pole would be a pretty epic place to tie the knot, but it would be pretty difficult to get the whole family out there...and where would you stay? It's for this reason that going with a tried and true wedding destination usually pays off. Not only are there straightforward travel routes to places like Mexico, where this wedding was held, but there are plenty of wedding vendors in the area that are used to accommodating couples planning destination weddings. The moral of the story–save the path less traveled for the honeymoon and leave the wedding to the pros.

Finest Playa Mujeres is the perfect venue to host a destination wedding. It is an all-inclusive resort and they can even arrange for your transportation if needed. For this wedding, Velvet Event Design worked closely with the couple to bring their boho-chic vision to life and created some stunning beachy florals. These photos by Novski Photography are proof that this couple made the right decision when they decided to bring their big day to the Mexican Riviera. Not only was this wedding beautiful, but, from the looks of it, everyone had an absolute blast! You can see more from this gorgeous day in the full gallery. Read on to hear more from Photographer, Nikola Bozhinovski about the couple and how they chose their destination.

THE TRAVEL BUG

Tracey and Jordan are one of those couples who you just love after spending 5 minutes alone with them. Their story began, over a decade ago, when they met in High School through mutual friends. Throughout the years, they have shared so many dreams and passions, such as their love for traveling, which is why it makes total sense that Jordan popped the question in Florence, Italy. He proposed while they were having a picnic in one of the most romantic places in the world, the Tuscan countryside.

A TROPICAL DESTINATION

They decided to celebrate their love in one of the most amazing places on Earth, the Mexican Caribbean, with its lush tropical backdrops, warm sunny skies, and that turquoise crystal-like water–paradise at its best. Tracey was looking for an elegant chic tropical vibe. Her vision was amazingly executed by Jordan's event planning skills! Their ceremony was held on a white sandy beach at Finest Playa Mujeres. A mix of dreamy earth tones and rustic elements carefully set up by Velvet Event Design made for the perfect spot to say their I Dos.

LET THE PARTY BEGIN

After getting a bit emotional, cocktails were poured at sunset while the Mexican Trio, Aroma Mexicano, played some tunes (because nothing says Mexico like spiced Margaritas and la Bamba!) A candlelit reception followed at the Grand Palapa where The Imperial Band made sure nobody left the dance floor all night long. This was truly one of the most emotional yet UNBELIEVABLY CRAZY celebrations we've ever been part of because one thing is for sure, their married life won't be boring...AT ALL!
