How To Have A Rustic And Yet Glam Wedding
We love a bride that goes against the grain and this next couple is a star example of how to put a spin on your wedding day! Makenna and Nick booked a gorgeous location for their big day, Rancho Victoria Vineyard is a fabulous backdrop with a distinctly rustic vibe. It feels cozy and laid back in a very beautiful way, however, neither of those adjectives seemed to describe the vibe this couple was looking to have at their wedding. Undeterred, they and their vendors pulled together a sleek and glamorous wedding you will not believe.

the venue
A rustic venue doesn’t mean you have to have a rustic wedding. This glam, color-infused day at the rustic Rancho Victoria Vineyard in Northern California was nothing short of a classically beautiful alfresco day for these two lovebirds. Pops of color, ultra-glam bridesmaids gowns, and classic simple details were the perfect infusion of rustic meets glam.
Coordinated by Kristina of Events by Kristina Elyse, Makenna & Nick tied the knot amidst the rolling hills of vineyards. Under the property’s historic oak tree, the bride and groom said I do, officiated by a family friend, after walking down an aisle framed by color-drenched floral arrangements popping with pampas grass and wine barrels, a nod to the vineyards lining the backdrop.
The Style
The bride had her best gal pals by her side and opted for a more classic but flirty look for all of them. After changing out of their matching cheetah print pajamas, each bridesmaid donned a cute gold midi cocktail dress number - the perfect neutral to add glam to their otherwise rustic, outdoor day. Her bridesmaids, looking gorgeous with hair by Gypsy Dawn and makeup by Alexa Dias Makeup stood by her side, with their pops of colorful bouquets in hand by The Blonde Bouquet. Makenna wore a stunning fit and flare number from Miosa Bride with spaghetti straps, a comfortable choice with glam attributes. Makenna’s bridal bouquet was overflowing with dahlias and ranunculus to add some character. The groomsmen were adorned with bowties and suspenders to add a bit of glam to their attire as well, maintaining classic tux vibes throughout their day.
the reception
Guests enjoyed a warm but overcast day amidst the vines and oak tree before snapping a picture at the custom backdrop, complete with calligraphy sign by Swoonable. A classic invitation suite - black and white charm, with neutral accents - informed guests of their chic outdoor affair and matching signage guided them throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour with mixes by JQ Events, and fun times at reception. A welcoming alfresco dining set up, by Celebrations Rentals proved perfect for guests to enjoy the views, and dine under the stars and venue’s darling cafe lights with delicious cuisine from Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ. Classically simple tablescapes were paired with a pop of neutral green colors as well as vibrant, color-drenched floral centerpieces.
After dinner, guests were treated to wedding cake and desserts from Ettore's Bakery. A simple, three-tier classic white cake was dripping in colorful florals, a theme for this stunning outdoor affair. Sj’s Disc Jockey kept the party going late into the night, with cafe lit dancing.
