How To Have An All White Wedding On The Gold Coast

Bride and groom kissing in a modern chapel wedding

A bride dressed in all white isn't something unusual on her wedding day, but this gorgeous all-white wedding day not only had all the bridesmaids in the same bright white as the bride but both the natural light-filled chapel and the aptly named fountain room reception space where also a pristine white as well.

So take it from Billy Idol,"It's a nice day for a white wedding..." and you won't want to miss a single bright white detail. Keep scrolling to see more of this beautiful white wedding day in Austrailia, and find even more to love in the full gallery thanks to the talented Mallory Sparkles.

The proposal

Brendan and I met in August 2014 and I knew he was the one I wanted to spend my life with pretty much straight away. Brendan proposed July 2016 on a crisp winter morning in a hot air balloon at sunrise overlooking the Gold Coast hinterland, he then had planned a champagne breakfast at O'Reilly's vineyard followed by an overnight stay at O'Reilly's rainforest retreat in a luxury rainforest chateau. We enjoyed our engagement for 8 months before we started planning our dream day.

The venues

Our wedding was styled beautifully by Style on Q with white details throughout with hints of greenery and touches of gold throughout both the ceremony and reception. We chose the stunning intercontinental sanctuary cove chapel as our ceremony venue. With floor to ceiling glass windows and a beautiful light-filled interior with white tiles, it wasn't a hard choice to select this venue as the setting for our "I do's".

Our reception venue was at Links Golf Club, Hope Island in the Fountain Room which as the name suggests featured an amazing fountain situated in the middle of the room, we then positioned 8 roundtables around the fountain and a long bridal party table situated at the front.

The fountain was then made even more of a focal point by adding ice sculptured kissing swans surrounded by greenery and white florals at the top.

The Dress

My wedding gown, designed by Zhanel Couture from Melbourne was absolutely stunning. A beautiful mermaid style dress with intricate hand beading and lace, loop and button closure all down the back and a cathedral length train. Dressed in my amazing gown along with my hair and makeup, I felt like a princess, the most beautiful I have ever felt in my whole life.

The Big Day

The wedding morning I actually felt very calm and not very nervous at all, my 4 bridesmaids and I listened to music, sipped on champagne and nibbled on croissants. Immediately before entering the chapel is a bit of a blur, it honestly felt like a dream - there are no words to describe the feeling you get before you walk down the aisle to marry your best friend.

I walked down the aisle towards my husband to be, linked arms with my dad, I could feel all our guests looking at me but I couldn't take my eyes off my man up at the altar, who looked so handsome - and so nervous! Haha.

We wrote our own vows which we both heard from each other for the first time on our wedding day, that was pretty special.

The reception was a lot of fun, filled with drinks, good food, dancing, cake, good vibes and a whole lot of love. We ended the night with a sparkler exit which really was a perfect end to the best day of our lives.

The Vendors

Lastly, I just want to add in a special mention to our team of photographers and videographers, Mallory Sparkles and Fable House Films, who perfectly captured our day and have given us memories to last us a lifetime. Both teams blended seamlessly into our day and half the time we didn't notice they were there and the other half it was honestly as though they were good friends joining in on the day. We feel so blessed to have had such a magical wedding day.
