And just like that, a rainbow arched over this NYC wedding
Meri and Max’s love story was straight out of a rom-com. They first crossed paths in New Orleans on Max’s 21st birthday, where Meri casually wished him a happy birthday. The next morning, Max texted a friend: “I think I fell in love with Meri last night.” A few weeks (and some matchmaking from mutual friends) later, they met again — and the rest is history. Max proposed years later by the water in Central Park, completely surprising Meri mid-rant on their way to dinner at Tavern on the Green. The couple chose Liberty House as their venue for its sweeping Manhattan views and lush garden feel. And the day brought drama in the best way — from a sudden downpour to golden hour magic and a full rainbow during sunset. Keep scrolling to see how this incredible day came together with the help of Eleve Events, captured by Alina Delfino Photography and A-Roll Films.
Bridal style: classic satin ballgown
Meri wore a classic satin gown by Leah Da Glória with a wide skirt and structured bodice — timeless and elegant.
Shades of floral pinks
The bridesmaids wore different shades of blush, while Meri's and Max's sisters stood out in soft floral pinks. Hair and makeup for everyone was soft and natural, complementing the spring garden aesthetic perfectly.
Father-daughter first look
One especially touching moment? Meri’s first look with her dad. The quiet emotion between them was unforgettable.
Timeless floral choice: pink and white roses
The couple said "I do" in front of floor-to-ceiling windows that highlighted the lush floral structure created by Jardiniere Fine Flowers out of greenery, pink, and white roses. Lush arrangements made of the same florals also outfitted the entire aisle.

Meri designed a custom print featuring things she and Max love — New York icons, oysters, lobsters — and it appeared on matchbooks and napkins throughout the event.
Reception inspo: luxury design, nonstop energy
The reception was non-stop energy: emotional speeches, amazing sushi, and packed dancing all night long. Meri even changed into a second dress for the dance floor! And just like that, their love story had its most joyful chapter yet — under a rainbow sky.
