Fashion-forward wedding that was an ode to the city of Los Angeles
Darci and Garcia were high school sweethearts born and raised in the beautiful sprawl of Los Angeles. In the summer of 2025, they made it official under the setting California sun! The couple has always loved expressing their individuality through fashion, and their wedding was no exception. Planned with the help of Irene Boujo of the Mindy Weiss team and captured by Amy & Stuart Photography, their wedding was intended to be designed as an ode LA. Hosted in the heart of downtown at the Cathedral of Saint Vibiana, it's impossible not to feel the very essence of the city in every detail!
Featured designer: Danielle Frankel
Darci wore a breathtaking gown by Danielle Frankel, effortlessly bridging edge and elegance. Her shoes were cloud white heels from Manolo Blahnik.
Custom suit & a vintage brooch
Garcia's suit was a made-to-order dark brown two-piece from Cobra S.C., crafted in Italy by way of LA. His loafers were from the always impeccable BODE. Garcia further customized his look with a vintage Heart & Arrow brooch from Hollywood's Starday Vintage.
Symbolic wedding bands
Their wedding bands, both from Sofia Kaman, held symbolic weight, Darci's in yellow gold with diamonds, and Garcia's in white gold with diamonds.
Ceremony style: whimsy meets tradition
The ceremony followed a reformed Jewish practice; however, the couple made sure to also incorporate Mexican-American traditions that Garcia's family held dear, as well. Ceremony florals by Holly Flora embraced delicate white wildflower inspiration with pops of yellow centers and plenty of lush greenery.

Featured venue: Cathedral of Saint Vibiana
Once a cathedral, now an event space, the Cathedral of Saint Vibiana was the perfect backdrop: a blend of history, architecture, and LA grit. Irene Boujo of the Mindy Weiss team brought the couple's vision to life with intention and heart. Every detail was considered from layout and lighting to the overall mood.
Reception design: fresh florals and fruit
Holly Flora transformed the space with lush greenery, romantic blooms, and fresh stone fruit, creating a warm and earthy summer solstice dreamscape. This design also paired perfectly with the passion fruit coconut cake chosen by the bride and groom.
Music: from classic to contemporary
The music throughout the day ranged from classic guitarists playing artists such as Joni Mitchell and Stevie Wonder to a first dance to a Faye Webster song that led into an unforgettable set by DJ AkiraAkira.
Unforgettable energy
What made the day so unforgettable for the newlyweds wasn’t just the design or setting, it was the energy. The sounds of police sirens and music from passing cars during our outdoor ceremony, the packed dance floor, the sun hanging just a little longer than usual made it all felt like Los Angeles - imperfect, vibrant, and alive.
