the vision: classic elegance
We wanted to keep the design neutral and classy; we mainly wanted black and white to keep the aesthetic clean, elegant, and sleek. We are known as ‘foodies’ so we wanted to make sure the food was a focal point. We taste-tested every item and selected a menu that we would each individually order. We selected two cocktails that were totally different in taste and color. One cocktail was named Bubbles after our dog, and the other was called Uni, named after our favorite stuffed animal–a unicorn.
The couple entrusted their vision to Romantic Cabo Weddings, and they did not disappoint. They created a dramatic baby's breath and white rose floral arch for the beach ceremony and a modern yet elegant monochromatic reception space where the couple and their guests danced the night away.
getting ready
Michelle lounged with her favorite ladies in matching feather-trimmed satin pajamas. They sipped champagne and shared some laughs before getting the bride in her dress and all ready for the big day!
the fashion
Michelle was effortlessly elegant in a chic halter gown by Eva Lendel. She wore her hair in a tousled updo and accessorized with pearl earrings and matching Jimmy Choo lace and pearl sandals. Esmond complemented her look perfectly in a timeless black tuxedo and velvet loafers. The groomsmen also wore tuxedos, and the bridesmaids wore an assortment of black floor-length dresses.
the first look
Is it just us, or does the modern architecture just make this shot?! First look perfection = achieved.
personal vows
Saying personal vows to each other was something that we were both nervous to do, but we felt it was important for our wedding weekend to feel complete. Since we only had 62 people at the wedding, we felt comfortable sharing this special moment with everyone. Given it was an intimate wedding, we really enjoyed being able to spend time with our closest friends and family abroad, like a big group vacation.
the dance floor
When it came time for the first dance, the happy couple took to the black mirrored dance floor. And sparks flew, just as they finished with a perfectly-timed dip.
a champagne tower
It wouldn't be a wedding these days without a champagne tower! Make sure to put this on your shot list with your photographers when you're planning your own big day!
the cake
For dessert, the couple cut into a three-tiered wedding cake decorated in black and white fondant and hand-painted with a modern contour motif.
