their love story
Taye and Zach met online and quickly formed a connection. Shortly after, Taye flew to Scranton, Pennsylvania, where Zach was playing baseball. On their first evening together, they shared a silent dance—an unspoken moment that stayed with them. A year and a half later, Zach proposed during a trip to Banff, Alberta, after canoeing on Lake Louise. They married on January 5th, 2025, in Los Cabos with 83 guests in attendance.
the vision: elegant beachy neutrals
Nobu was a meaningful choice—they had celebrated milestones there in the past and knew the setting would offer the right atmosphere for their wedding weekend. Designed by Amy Abbott Events, the ceremony and reception were grounded in a clean, tonal palette of ivory, sand, and white. Baby’s breath and creamy florals by Kamala lined the aisle and reception tables, layered between tall glass candles and minimal place settings. Menus and paper goods carried the couple’s custom monogram and mirrored the restrained design language of the space. Overhead, strings of warm lights and chandeliers brought intimacy to the open-air layout.
getting ready
With the tropical sunlight pouring in through the window of her bridal suite, Taye awoke and slipped into an ivory silk robe and matching slip. She put the finishing touches on her look, diamond studs, a matching diamond tennis bracelet, and a misting of her signature scent for their wedding day. Then, she made her way over to the teak-lined closet where her voluminous lace gown and veil were waiting for her.
the fashion
Taye wore a tailored off-the-shoulder lace gown with a long train and sheer sleeves. Her hair was styled in a sleek, low bun, and her makeup featured a soft, radiant finish that carried through from ceremony to reception. Zach wore a cream double-breasted suit with a coordinating bow tie. While there wasn’t a formal wedding party, each guest was invited to follow curated dress codes for each event throughout the weekend.
the seating chart
Guests were welcomed with a sculptural seating chart installation, lit softly from below, creating a focal point at the entrance. This is such a simple, yet elegant way to ensure your guests know exactly where to be.
words of wisdom from the happy couple
Trust the process and have fun with it. At the end of the day, you’re marrying the love of your life—everything will come together.
