This moody editorial is giving phantom of the opera vibes
Hundreds of candlesticks, the flicker of flames dancing off of crystal, and a brooding tuxedo-clad leading man lurking in the shadows–no, this isn't your favorite spooky musical, it's better! It's a wedding inspiration editorial shot by Rada Weddings, and we're soooo into it! Keep scrolling for every brilliantly moody detail and get ready to pin because it's dripping with inspiration for your own big day.

the vibe: moody minimalism
This wedding editorial, dreamed up by JENK Event Design, drew inspiration from an artful, romantic old-world style, infused with a modern twist. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to execute this vision, starting with our choice of The Vancouver Club as the venue. We took a unique approach to florals, combining preserved flowers with modern touches such as anthuriums and amaranthus, complemented by the dramatic effect of wax dripping. The decor embraced a sense of grand minimalism, blending elevated simplicity with impactful elegance. The cake featured vintage piping, adding a classic touch, while the lace dress provided a timeless, old-world romance feel to the overall aesthetic. We took inspiration from vintage photography, blending both modern editorial styling with a focus on capturing genuine emotions. The photographs beautifully merge a high-fashion, editorial feel with intimate, candid moments, creating an editorial that is both visually striking and emotionally resonant.
the stationery
Deckled edges, textured paper, and soft textile details give this stationery suite a distinctly vintage feel that blends perfectly with the vibe of the wedding design. We love that they didn't go black and white and instead introduced a soft blush to add some romance to the otherwise moody shoot.
the fashion
The bride is a vision in a strapless lace gown with a corseted bodice by Luxx Nova Boutique. The timeless look is paired with a dramatic trailing veil that gives the ensemble an ethereal feel. We need to take a sec to gush about the groom's look in this shoot. We've seen a million classic black tuxes and suits, but there's something about this one that just makes the groom pop! And we are literally obsessed with the cascading boutonniere!
the cake
The couple cut into a dramatic four-tiered Lambeth-style wedding cake which was perfect for the theme. We also love the use of candlelights and a few scattered statement flowers for this effortlessly chic cake table.
