The bride carried a purse bouquet down the aisle to her NY Jet fiance
NY Jets player Kene Nwangwu met the love of this life, Kat, in college, where they instantly fell in love and have been together ever since! For their wedding day at Woodbine Mansion in Austin, Texas, they planned a beautiful estate wedding surrounded by friends and family who travelled from near and far, with some coming from as far as Nigeria. The style of their day was romantic yet playful. To create this vision, they had beautiful red and maroon-toned florals that matched perfectly with Kat's delicate, formed-fitting lace gown. What stole the show, however, was Kat's trendy purse bouquet, beautifully designed by the House of Honor. Photographed by Swidrak & Co. and planned with the help of Sweet Laurel Events, this stunning estate wedding is the perfect inspo for any bride wanting a timeless yet trendy event.
Featured venue: Woodbine Mansion
Woodbine Mansion in Austin, Texas was the perfect balance of welcoming and luxury for Kene and Kat to say "I do." It provided a multitude of spaces to host the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, all while still giving that homey feel for the bride and groom to get ready beforehand.
New wedding style: purse bouquet
Bride Kat carried a perfectly on-trend purse bouquet in mauve with dripping florals from The House of Honor. The whimsical nature of the bouquet complemented the more traditional lace of her form-fitting dress and cathedral-length veil.

For the groom: classic black-tie attire
Groom Kene wore a classic black-tie inspired suit with matching black shoes and a traditional bowtie.
On-trend ceremony seating
The ceremony took place on the brick patio outside, with asymmetrical ground-level floral installations going up the stairs and the seating set up facing the aisle like a fashion runway.
Private post-ceremony portraits
The newlyweds made sure to make time after the ceremony for private portraits around the venue property.
Cocktail bar: florals to the floor
The bar featured lush green and pink-tinted hydrangeas with grasses and green and maroon dripping florals, complementing both the bride's bouquet and the centerpieces that would greet guests during the reception.
Reception trend: serpentine tables
One unique element of the reception were the serpentine tables woven throughout the reception. White tablecloths allowed for the maroon napkins and gold flatware to stand out, complemented by cloud-like centerpieces of green and pink hydrangeas.
Unique centerpiece idea: candelabras
Candelabras added an elevated vibe, offset by white tapered candles in crystal holders.
An iconic outfit change
Later in the evening, the couple made an iconic outfit change to dance the night away in before making their grand exit as Mr. and Mrs.
