Saying “I do” in Cabo doesn’t have to mean a colorful wedding theme

In November of 2024, Carly and Carter brought together 135 of their closest friends and family for a sun-filled wedding weekend in Los Cabos, Mexico. What started as an Instagram conversation—sparked by a mutual family friend—turned into a storybook destination celebration, complete with fireworks, live music, and plenty of heartfelt moments, all captured by Perry Skegness. With Amy Abbott Events leading the planning, the couple created a weekend experience at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal that was both meaningful and unforgettable.

Welcome dinner to wedding weekend

A colorful Shabbat dinner kicked things off, followed by a wedding day rooted in soft neutrals and special personal touches—like chocolate favors from Carter’s family’s chocolatier and custom seating cards for each guest.

Carly wore a floral-embellished Galia Lahav gown, Christian Louboutin heels (her childhood dream!), and later slipped into a white-and-silver Clio Peppiatt mini dress and Gucci rhinestone sneakers. Carter chose a beige-and-white linen suit with their couple’s logo stitched inside, finished with Cartier details and matching Louboutin loafers.

The couple said "I do" under a custom chuppah by Aria Vera Floral made of lush white roses and dahlias surrounded by greenery. The mirrored aisle expanded out over the oceanfront pool, and with the reflection of the sky, it made it appear as though they were quite literally walking out onto water.

After-the-fact advice from the couple

“Do your research on planners and pick the best of the best! We got lucky with having Amy herself & Cristina - but we would have been lucky to have anyone on the team. They know what they are doing and truly care. Also, don’t forget to enjoy the process and the moments during the festivities—they go by in a flash, and you want to take it all in while you are there.”
