Glamorous Manhattan loft wedding full of candlelit NYC nostalgia

NYC wedding

Tara and Nicholas have a DM to thank for sparking their first real connection. They knew of one another through mutual friends, but it wasn't until after graduation, they ran into each other by chance through a shared friend. Later that night, Nicholas replied to one of Tara's Instagram stories featuring a slice of pizza. From that moment on, they never stopped talking. Their engagement took place by the river in Battery Park, NYC. With the help of Dhalia Events, and photographed by Casey Smith Photography, Tara and Nicholas shone a wedding day spotlight on their NYC love story, turning a modern Manhattan loft into a destination with a heartfelt connection.  The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers offered the perfect setting: a sophisticated ceremony and reception space with sweeping waterfront views of the Hudson River.

The couple’s favorite moment came just after the ceremony, when they paused to share their gratitude with one another and reflect on the vows they had exchanged. “It was a moment I will never forget,” wrote Tara.

Memorable moment: the first dance

Nick recalled their first dance as unforgettable: “Every step, every move — we were locked into each other and didn’t have a care in the world other than being there, in that moment with each other.
