The bride designed her wedding at the JW Marriott Los Cabos with contrast and intention. The ceremony featured a timeless, all-white palette—classic and serene—while the reception made a bold, contrasting statement with deep red florals and mirrored details. The red was a heartfelt tribute to my late grandmother, who once promised to give me ruby slippers for my wedding. The flowers became her “something red,” a cherished symbol of that memory.The reception space felt like a whimsical, romantic dream: floral runners, dramatic red floral trees, glowing candlelight, and elegant textures like velvet tablecloths and boucle chairs. Invitations included nods to our journey, from meeting in Tulum to building a life together, with subtle jungle-inspired prints and a pop of color.

I wanted the ceremony to feel cinematic—like one of those unforgettable movie scenes where the bride walks down a long white aisle toward her husband. To set that tone, we had a violinist playing romantic love songs live, which created the most emotional, magical atmosphere from the very first note. My husband and I are both Catholic, so it was incredibly meaningful to us to have a traditional element woven into our destination wedding. We flew in our priest from Kansas City, Missouri, to officiate the ceremony, which made it all the more personal and sacred. It truly felt like the perfect blend of spiritual tradition and dreamy romance. With the support of La Floristería Atelier and Del Cabo Weddings, every detail was brought to life with care, creating a celebration full of meaning, drama, and beauty.

"My Vera Wang gown, an A-line silhouette, was exactly what I envisioned—timeless and effortlessly elegant," recalled the bride. She paired the look with a matching veil, and her hair gently swept back in a half-up-half-down style with gentle waves. Her bridesmaids wore mix-and-match satin dresses in a pretty blush shade. The groom was equally dapper in a timeless black tuxedo. Later, for the reception, the two switched things up, with the bride in a daring rhinestone dress with sexy cutouts and dramatic bow details, and the groom in a sharp yet laid-back linen suit.
