Secret Special Moments
My husband and I had some significant moments throughout the day that were a little bit of a secret and that only a handful of people knew the significance behind. Our processional songs were actually three songs from two of my favorite movies, the song we used to share our first dance together was from one of my husband's favorite video game soundtrack, and his cufflinks were Star Wars themed. Those types of things probably went unnoticed by most people, but they really meant a lot to us.
Weddings Are Magic, Enjoy Them
Everything seemed to magically all come together on the day of. All the small things I was worried about being done or being in the right place didn’t really matter in the end. Nobody will ever know if the picture frames weren't on the correct table, or if the napkins were under the plates and not on top of them!
Do As I Say Not As I Do
I admit that I am a procrastinator, and my wedding planning was really no different. I can't say that I delayed ALL planning, I just did so much planning in my head and churned through idea after idea until I had the perfect vision of what I wanted for a specific piece of the big day. What I really should have done was bounce those ideas off of my fiancé, parents, vendors and wedding party so that they were more involved and could work through the process with me.
For instance, we booked our DJ only about 3 weeks before the event (I know, I know! Procrastination at its finest), but I had every song and musical moment already planned out. It worked out for us that way, but I don’t recommend it!
We just have to say how very impressed we are with Amanda's mother who made each one of her daughters five fabulous weddings cakes! That is one amazing mom, and these are some gorgeous cakes!
