Street Art Inspired Wedding That Dares To Go Bold

Deciding on your own wedding ensembles is hard enough (especially when you’re both women) but what on earth should the bridesmaids wear? Well, this edgy, all-female wedding inspiration shoot is just what you need! This team of vendors decided to lean into the feminine energy and go gowns all around. That’s right, full-length tulle ballgowns! With the brides in light colors and the bridesmaids in red, there’s no mistaking whose big day it is, and it makes for some pretty epic photos!

More Than Weddings designed this inspiration shoot around Open Dream, a fun new venue that was once an old ceramic factory. With the bright murals as a guiding light, Anneris Flowers Farm designed these bold and wild florals that fit beautifully with the edgy theme. Enrico E Eleonora did an awesome job of bringing balance to the wedding design in the photographs and making sure that the murals enhanced each moment but didn’t overpower them and Mario Casati was there to capture every special moment on video. A NEW PURPOSE

A vibrant event space featuring graffiti art and floral arrangements

The first time we visited the Open Dream area, we realized that it was the perfect place for what we wanted to achieve. The venue is a disused ceramic factory-turned creative space for artists and a new venue for unconventional events. Our desire was to create a fresh, lively, and cheerful setting. A little against the tide in this particular historical time. We centered the shots on the murals which helped to dictate our color palette. As for the style, we found inspiration in street art and from other artists, including a prominent artist in the world of body painting and graffiti. To make the situation more realistic, we wanted an original American Airstream and a 1950s jukebox on the set.

CELEBRATING LOVE IN ALL ITS COLORS

In this world, still not very open to diversity, we wanted two women. Our models are a couple in real life. Our intent was to convey authenticity and openness towards LGBTQ+ unions. For this reason, the dresses of Giulia and Alessia were also chosen with this message in mind. One of our bride’s dresses is called “Rainbow” due to the shades of color imprinted on the tulle. We chose it because in addition to being in perfect style, it symbolizes the world of LGBTQ+ couples and it is synonymous with hope and peace. We have always maintained that love is love: it has no sex, no age, no color, no religion. Our brides were accompanied by their bridesmaids. For them, wonderful red cherry dresses and colorful lively bouquets.

AN EDGY DESIGN

The ceremony was held in front of the mural that expressed our color palette: orange, yellow and red. To light the aisle, we chose orange neon lights. For the bare wooden board, we chose a square shape. For the decorations on the table, we inserted concrete blocks warmed by colorful and lively flowers. Handmade ceramic dishes were created by a local workman just for the occasion. The stationery stood out for its strong and decisive colors. We framed the cake cutting in front of another mural. For the cake, brushstrokes of color reflect the mood of the event. The wedding bands and the engagement ring were handmade by a craftsman who works with precious stones. We also got some outdoor shots with colorful smoke bombs against the red brick walls for a street artist WOW factor.
