This wedding doubled as a wellness retreat for the guests
To celebrate their love and really put the focus on the promise they were about to make to each other, Emily and Jesse knew they wanted to get away from it all–and take their guests with them. Together they escaped to Dunton Hot Springs, a remote mountain oasis, and included their favorite people in several touching rituals over the course of the wedding weekend, culminating in an outdoor mountain ceremony and a warm rustic reception. their love story
She’s an Australian-born couples therapist, he’s a California-based video storyteller exploring near-death experiences. The two met on Hinge during the pandemic and brought their favorite people from around the world (London, Hong Kong, New York, Australia!) to this remote ghost town-turned-luxury resort for a fully immersive, joy-filled weekend that reflected every part of who they are.
the vision: peace and presence
With a whimsical, floral-adorned cake, bright floral arrangements by Adela Floral, custom escort cards with pressed wildflowers, and a kid-free guest list that encouraged full-out dancing and celebration, Emily and Jesse’s wedding wasn’t just a weekend away—it was a transformational experience with beauty in every form. From breath work sessions and spontaneous guest performances to an ecstatic dance and blessing circle under clear skies, every moment felt intentional and soul-nourishing. The weather played its part too, offering a little of everything, from spring rain to golden sunshine, just in time for the couple’s vows.
the fashion
Emily wore the ethereal “Chaz” gown by Mira Zwillinger, paired with a bold bouquet of coral peonies, ranunculus, and garden roses. Jesse embraced a deep lake blue for his tailored suit.
the meals
Guests gathered each night for family-style meals, candlelit tablescapes by Elevation Weddings & Events inspired by the venue’s existing charm, and cocktails as unique as the couple, including the bride’s signature Baroness Collins and a cucumber mint cooler named after their dog.
the cake
For dessert, the two cut into a sweet and simple two-tiered buttercream cake with abstract piping and live floral details. They went for two different flavors: lavender-lemon and almond-raspberry–delish!
