When You Marry Your Muse-A Celebration Of Art And Love In A Gallery Space In NYC
When two creatives get married, you know you're in for a treat! This couple, a photographer and designer, met at Parsons in NYC and decided to base their wedding design on their love of art–starting with a scenic rooftop ceremony and moving to a cocktail hour in a gallery space that was exhibiting different works by both artists showcasing the evolution of their relationship. We can't think of a better way to celebrate your love than to share it with your closest friends and family members through your art! In true NYC fashion, the wedding was a modern celebration of love with effortlessly chic styling, a mostly neutral color palette, and of course, multiple outfit changes!
Paul Rudolph Heritage Foundation, an exclusive NYC space, was the perfect wedding venue for this art-loving couple and these modern floral arrangements by Hexacres Floral Design Studio complemented the building's unique geometric architecture. AN ARTFUL CELEBRATION
An art-loving duo, Yangzi the bride is a photographer and artist, and Musen the groom is a designer and poet. They met each other at Parsons and that's where their love story started. They knew their wedding would be unique and art-centric. Having the cocktail hour at an art gallery couldn't be more perfect, with their portraits, pictures, paintings, and poems beautifully presented to the guests–all telling their story.
A ONE-OF-A-KIND VENUE
This beautiful art gallery space is Paul Rudolph Heritage Foundation which is located in the Upper East Side of Manhattan and is the only space in NYC designed by legendary architect Paul Rudolph. It features custom-designed lighting and furniture which makes the space truly one-of-a-kind. Notable celebrities such as Lauren Hutton and Martha Stewart have visited or had photoshoots here.
THE DETAILS
The florals are ikebana-inspired designs combined with geometric structures and hanging installations to highlight the art-centric vibe and also blend into the modern architectural interior design of the space. The wedding colors are neutrals and green. The floral designs by Hexacres Floral Design Studio bring everything together with the neutral color of branches coordinating with the groom's suits, the green color from tropical green leaves, and green plants scattered throughout the venue mixed with the black geometric grids and their picture frame. The bride's gown is by Vanessa Cocchiaro. It is simple and elegant, highlighted by a beautiful pearl headpiece and necklace by Mona Jewelry. The modern squared cake by Anntremet Cake displayed on a flower pedestal with white chocolate dust and mirror glaze icing is like a piece of art.
