Tropical hued and fashion-filled beach soirée in key largo

lgbtq beach wedding

This vibrant beach wedding in Key Largo is the perfect example of why we're soooo obsessed with giving your guests a color palette instead of simply a dress code. For their tropical wedding, these brides asked their guests to wear black and had their wedding party wear an array of citrus-inspired hues so they really popped and represented the color palette for the day. Keep scrolling to see more of these beautiful photos by Tayla Paige Photo and to hear all about this heartfelt ceremony that was all about family.

Kirsty Beauchais and Kristina Beauchais’ love story is one for the books. These two are the perfect example of the invisible string theory—they were always meant to find one another. Growing up in the same hometown, they attended the same high school and college, but their paths didn’t cross until years later. Once they finally met, the connection was instant, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

While Maine holds a special place in their hearts, the couple chose to celebrate their wedding in the tropical paradise of Key Largo, Florida at Largo Resort. Their wedding was a joyful, detail-rich explosion of love, color, and celebration. The couple embraced a bold and playful color palette, weaving shades of pink and orange throughout the day. Every single element was thoughtfully curated by Blue Water Weddings—from the vibrant florals by Foraged to the disco ball-lit dance floor.

With their ladies by their sides, the brides got their glam on in their individual bridal suites (and we are in LOVE with this feather-trimmed robe). Then, they met on the beachside walkway for one of the most adorable first looks we've ever seen!

breaking the mold: the walk down the aisle

lgbtq wedding traditions

One especially meaningful and unique moment of the day was how the couple entered their ceremony. Each bride was accompanied by her parents, who walked her to the start of the aisle. There, the two sets of parents embraced, exchanged hugs, and lovingly sent Kirsty and Kristina off to walk down the aisle together. It was a powerful, symbolic moment, representing not only the unity of their love but the support and connection of both families coming together.

the fashion

orange and pink bridesmaid dresses

A standout element was the wedding party fashion: every member wore a unique hue of pink or orange, creating a cohesive yet eye-catching group. The guests joined in too, with the mothers of the brides in stunning shades of blue, and the rest of the guests in sleek black. Both brides were show-stoppers in their ceremony looks and wowed the crowd again with outfit changes for the reception.
