An enchanting château wedding with a rainbow color palette
No, this isn't AI; this is real-life artistry dreamed up by some insanely talented wedding pros. It's always a challenge to design a wedding when you're working with an already stunning venue, like this historic chateau. While the good bones certainly help, it can be hard to do enough to make it your own without overshadowing existing beauty—to find a balance between doing too much and too little. Well, this, my friends, is how you do it. Instead of bringing in a ton of decor and other rentals, stick to the basics and lean on florals, stationery, and fashion to communicate your vision—then, let the venue work its magic. the vision: a rainbow-hued fairy tale
Step into a modern fairytale with Rose and Eric’s enchanting château wedding in the French countryside. Every detail of this editorial, planned and designed by AMV Weddings, was a tribute to romance, artistry, and the timeless allure of a French château wedding. Chateau Challain, a meticulously restored 19th-century gem nestled in the heart of the Loire Valley, France. The French Chateau offers 72 acres of breathtaking gardens, forest, and a serene lake. The couple exchanged vows under a pergola bursting with rainbow-hued florals by Les-Herbes Folles, with the château gardens. A long table was set for guests to gather below the château for a magical reception dinner. The table overflowed with lush pink, blush, and lavender florals, floral-patterned linens, and custom menus designed by Bonjour Paper.
the welcome dinner
Imagine arriving at this lavish chateau, the sprawling drive, and the perfectly manicured gardens leading you in and up the front steps. And inside? A long candlelit table in a rich wood-trimmed dining hall, and one of the most beautiful historic interiors in the region. And this was just the welcome dinner!
the stationery
A pastel-hued stationery suite was a subtle nod to the colorful design, but rather than mimic the vibrant colors of the wedding florals, it merely hinted at them, leaving a little to the imagination. The vintage stamps, motifs, and deckled edges picked up on the interior of the decadent destination.
getting ready
Rose began her morning in a serene villa nestled on the château grounds. Bathed in soft, natural light, she prepared for the day in a delicately beaded Luna Rose robe. Her bridal look was flawlessly brought to life by Tara Sanger Makeup and Hair by Duboux, highlighting her natural beauty.
the fashion
As the ceremony approached, she slipped into her breathtaking House of Savin gown, paired with a flowing Sophie Raval veil that added an ethereal touch to the garden ceremony. Later that evening, she made a stunning second entrance with a refreshed hairstyle and a second House of Savin masterpiece—a sleek, lace mermaid gown that hugged her figure beautifully and added a dramatic, couture finish to the celebration.
