How To Modernize Your Fall Color Palette
the vision: effortlessly authentic
Wild Harmony was born from the desire to celebrate who we are today! A reflection of Diana Romo Weddings’ evolution and our ongoing love affair with design that feels alive, organic, and deeply intentional. The vision was clear: a couple who embodies modern romance... well-traveled, intentional, and creative professionals in their thirties who value authenticity over perfection. They’re drawn to experiences that feel effortless and emotional. The color palette was grounded in nature—brown, olive, blush, walnut, and sand—inspired by Naboa’s natural surroundings. Organic textures like wood, stone, clay, and woven fibers created a tactile sense of warmth: contemporary, soulful, and deeply connected to nature. The ceremony felt serene and poetic, with the scent of copal grounding the space. The design embraced Naboa’s aesthetic, where organic textures met contemporary lines. The palette combined blush, olive, and sand with warm mustard chairs, creating a soft yet bold harmony.
One of the most striking moments was the dinner setup, a floating table surrounded by lush greenery and candlelight. While similar concepts have been seen before in open, coastal settings, this interpretation felt mystical and intimate. The reflections, the movement of the water, and the subtle scent of copal created a sensory experience that was both grounded and ethereal—a visual love letter to effortless elegance, crafted with emotion, texture, and soul.
the destination: tulum
The editorial took place at Naboa Tulum, a place where every texture, tone, and detail blended effortlessly with the surroundings. It represents what moves our clients: authenticity, effortless elegance, and beauty that feels natural rather than staged. Together with María Limón and an extraordinary team of creatives, we brought this vision to life—each of us infusing our own artistry and soul into the project. When choosing the venue, I wanted to find a place that truly speaks to our couples: authentic, cozy, and vibrant. This summer, I met Clive, the mastermind behind Naboa. The brand-new property is the first of its kind—deeply rooted in Tulum yet designed with a contemporary sensibility. Every piece of furniture was handcrafted in Bali and curated by Studio Wenden, whose refined interiors blend seamlessly with the lush jungle of the Mexican Caribbean.
What I love most is Naboa’s philosophy—hospitality that feels human, simple, and real. Their goal is to make people feel at home without needing to be anyone but themselves. Every detail reflects Naboa’s spirit of uncomplicated beauty, from custom-made Mexican-inspired furniture to artisanal pottery, handwoven décor, and pieces that feel local yet timeless. It embodies everything we wanted to express through this editorial: connection, simplicity, and quiet sophistication.
trending: sexy getting-ready shoots
Most wedding photographers arrive early to capture couples as they prepare for the big day. But, instead of bridesmaids in robes sipping champagne, we're seeing couples leaning into sexier boudoir-style sessions with just them. We love this for so many reasons, but mostly because this is the time to capture this—you're young and in love. Trust us when we tell you, you'll want to document it!
the fashion
For the attire, the wedding gown was a silk design by Brizegno, part of their Aura Capsule Collection. The piece, called Sunkissed, embodied exactly what we wanted—effortless, romantic, and rooted in natural elegance. Brizegno’s designs are handmade in the Mexican Caribbean and known for their genderless, timeless aesthetic—perfectly aligned with Naboa’s soul. For the groom, we chose a total look in natural manta—a terra-colored pant and a loose, genderless shirt that felt relaxed yet refined. Styled by Scarlett AC, every detail—from wardrobe and jewelry to hair and makeup—reflected organic sophistication. Noa’s sleek bun was minimal, elegant, and quietly glamorous, perfectly complementing the look.
the florals
María Limón’s florals were sculptural and expressive, filled with foliage and delicate peachy-pink anthuriums. Their glossy texture brought warmth and sensuality to the scene, complemented by coconuts scattered among the arrangements—a nod to the tropical surroundings. For the reception, María’s florals were pure magic: a mix of foliage, anthuriums, tomatillos, and garlic bulbs — an unexpected yet perfect detail.
the food and drink
Lulo’s menu was light, colorful, and rooted in Mayan culture, paired with a signature cocktail that mirrored the tones of the day. For cocktail hour, we created a custom signature drink and poured it down a tower—one of my favorite moments.
the cake
The cake by Manglar was sculptural and refined, the perfect finishing touch. The ambiance felt inspiring, relaxed, and full of heart.
advice from the pros
Slow down and be intentional. Focus on connection, atmosphere, and feeling. Don’t chase trends—create moments that feel like you. Choose a setting that speaks to your story, surround yourselves with people who bring good energy, and let nature and emotion do the rest. And of course, no story would be complete without a touch of spontaneity. At one point, María began stringing little tomatillo garlands for the table, and within minutes everyone joined in—the photography team, Clive, the girls from Óleo, and even the Naboa staff. The whole crew sat together, laughing, creating these green chains under the jungle light. It was so human, so genuine—exactly what the shoot was meant to be about. And yes, Naboa, the hotel’s sweet dog, was right there wagging her tail and keeping everyone smiling. It wasn’t just a shoot—it was a celebration of creativity, connection, and gratitude. One of those rare days that remind you why you fell in love with this work in the first place.
