Every last detail of this Italian wedding was locally sourced
Set in the heart of Puglia, Italy, Courtney Brodie and Evan Abrams fell in love with Masseria Calderisi, a 1600s restored village turned boutique hotel, during one of their early trips together. They returned for their wedding weekend, renting out the entire masseria and its beach club for a three-day celebration planned with the help of Italian Boutique Weddings and captured by Le Velo Photography that blended personal touches with authentic Puglian experiences that honored the region's beauty, cuisine, and traditions.
Colorful watercolor invitations
Colorful watercolor invitations by Ofelia Botella Studio featured hand-drawn watercolor designs with custom imagery.
3-in-1 Monique Lhuillier dress
Courtney wore a three-in-one Monique Lhuillier dress discovered on a spontaneous shopping trip.
Timeless trend: heirloom accessories
Evan wore a custom tux from Klein Epstein Parker with heirloom cufflinks and Gucci loafers gifted on his 40th birthday.
Bringing their hometowns to the ceremony
Their ceremony took place in an ancient olive grove, officiated by the only female Rabbi in Puglia, and incorporated Italian-Jewish traditions beneath a chuppah adorned with symbolic baby socks filled with soil from their hometowns.
On trend: Aperol spritz tower
Guests were treated to a lively cocktail hour featuring a surprise performance by a Puglian street marching band, an amaro bar with homemade limoncello, and interactive food stations with live mozzarella making, handmade cannolis, and local seafood.
Reception design: artisanal local style
Every element was sourced from local artisans and vendors—from the ceramic olive oil bottles that doubled as escort cards and favors, to a custom-illustrated paper suite by European artist Ofelia Botella.
