the vision: vibrant meets moody
High school sweethearts turned newlyweds, Taylor and Kyle chose a unique design for their January wedding. Instead of leaning into the typical winter whites, Taylor envisioned a moody, bold palette of chartreuse, deep purples, and mauves, with countless handmade and custom details.
With help from Tame Florals, they turned The Barn at Villa Venezia into a rustic speakeasy-meets-disco vibe. A crescent-shaped meadow floral arrangement framed the ceremony space while the A-frame windows of the barn let bits of the deep blue twilight sky peek in. Natural wood furniture blended beautifully with the unique barn space, while the moody floral arrangements and disco balls added a touch of whimsy.
DIY
From Cricut-crafted signage and stationery to personalized matchbox favors and a hand-embroidered after-party jacket, her creativity infused every moment with personality and originality.
getting ready
In the cozy bridal suite, Taylor put the finishing touches on her look using an antique vanity. It wasn't long before the room was buzzing with joy and anticipation as her bridesmaids and parents came in to get a sneak peek of Taylor in her gown.
the fashion
Taylor chose an elegant off-the-shoulder mermaid gown with long lace sleeves that she found at Anthropologie. The vintage vibe of the dress fit perfectly with the venue. Her bridesmaids all wore midi-length chartreuse satin dresses—a color that we're anticipating to be big in 2026. Kyle and his men all sported classic tuxedos for the timeless affair. Then, when it was time to get the party started, Taylor re-emerged in a glittering sequin jumpsuit and high-top Converse for the after-party.
the cake
The effortlessly adorable heart-shaped red velvet cake was the cherry on top of a perfect day. Not only was it delicious, but it went with the chill, laid-back vibe of the whole celebration.
