the inspo: a mexican sunset
Dani and Jeff's wedding was a truly magical affair set against the rich architectural backdrop of Hacienda Antigua in Lo de Marcos, Nayarit, Mexico. As cinema industry professionals from Canada, they were drawn to this secluded property with its lush greenery and stunning ocean views, creating the perfect canvas for their unique vision. Designed by Marweddings, the romantic ambiance of bistro lights, tiki torches, and candles, combined with a color palette of bright orange and pink, created a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests. Their choice of photographer and videographer, Dreamers Studio, ensured a perfect blend of film and digital captures, preserving every moment in a timeless collection. The dancing under disco ball sparklers and the sight of customized "amor" Mexican flags waving above the dance floor added to the festive spirit, making it a night to remember for everyone involved.
a diy team effort
The couple's attention to detail and personal style shone through every aspect of the celebration. They enlisted the help of their talented friends, turning the venue into a bustling workshop in the days leading up to the wedding. Each guest found at their seat a unique handmade souvenir on a bright handmade placemat, adding a touch of fun and personalization to the evening. From sewing and crafting handmade decorations to rehearsing performances, their friends played integral roles in bringing their dream wedding to life.
the fashion
Her wedding dress was a modern interpretation of her grandmother's wedding gown, crafted with care and love for this special occasion. Dani's unconventional twist of replacing "something blue" with "something red" showcased her individuality and love for tradition with a modern twist.
vintage touches
During the ceremony, special touches like vinyl records and Polaroid cameras added a nostalgic charm, capturing instant memories and creating a personalized guest book.
