the vibe: dark and moody
For their chic DC wedding at District Winery, these brides knew they could trust Veronica Joy Events to bring their vision to life. She went to work designing their dream day with moody red florals by She Loves Me mixed with bright green accents, but the most important question was yet to be answered—what would they wear? the invitations
A mix of deep red, black, and white, guests received this unique and comprehensive wedding suite. From the playful font to the adorable doodles, these invitations totally communicate the vibe for the big day. We also love that they included a guide to D.C. for their out-of-town guests who want to take in the sights.
getting ready
Ali and Colleen relaxed in their respective bridal suites with their besties as they prepped for the day ahead. From their signature fragrance to their shoes, they put the finishing touches on their looks before seeing each other for the first time.
the first look
As soon as they saw each other, they couldn't stop smiling. Everywhere they looked, each ensemble revealed more hidden details—from custom embroidery to a manicure with their wedding date.
the fashion
Two brides = twice the fun when it comes to fashion, so to make sure they did it right, their planner brought in two professional stylists from Agency Eight Bridal Styling and Francesca Dispirito Styling—and they delivered! Each bride had multiple looks with hidden personalized touches that not only made them feel like the best versions of themselves, but each ensemble added to the entire vibe of the event. Even the guests brought the style, with some in fabulous fur coats and even some opera gloves! The fashion stylists had a quote that Ali and Colleen say to each other sewn into their dresses to be shown to each other as a surprise during their first look—"Same Wave."
the festivities
After the ceremony, the champagne kept flowing, and the brides changed into their festive reception looks—sequins, of course! Moody candlelight danced on disco balls as music filled the air, and everyone was out on the dance floor.
