their love story

Some love stories begin on dating apps, others in coffee shops—and for Nicole and Andrew, it all started on the North Fork of Long Island at a friend’s wedding. In 2019, amid clinking glasses at the Sound View hotel, their mutual friends introduced them during cocktail hour. Although Nicole had been living in New York and was already close with Andrew’s high school friends, the two had never crossed paths—Andrew was living in Colorado at the time. But the moment they finally met, everything clicked. What followed was a two-year long-distance relationship (yes, through COVID!) before they finally put down roots together in Boston in 2021.

Because the North Fork had become such a meaningful place for their relationship, Andrew knew his proposal had to happen there. His original plan was a quiet beach along the familiar route from the Orient Point ferry to his parents’ home. But in true North Fork fashion, the weather had other ideas. Rain forced a last-minute pivot to the SoundView—the very hotel where the wedding they first met at had taken place. It ended up being perfectly intimate and full circle. After the big “yes,” the couple celebrated with both of their families at a nearby vineyard.

the vibe: elegant orchard

Nicole and Andrew celebrated their wedding at Breeze Hill Farm, a sweeping 75-acre property nestled between lush apple orchards and waterfront stretches overlooking the Long Island Sound. The venue’s natural beauty set the tone for a day that balanced timeless elegance with relaxed, come-as-you-are joy.

The florals by True Elizabeth echoed the soft, organic aesthetic woven throughout the entire celebration. The tablescape was designed around the family-style meal that Social Catering served. The design by The Party New York featured beautiful floral-painted plates, lush centerpieces bursting with color, and a warm atmosphere that brought everyone together.

All day, the skies teased rain—and for a while, they delivered. It poured in the hours leading up to their guests' arrival, leaving everyone wondering if their dream outdoor ceremony would happen. Refusing to give up on the view, Nicole and Andrew made a bold pivot: start with cocktail hour. Greeting guests right away turned out to be incredibly special and instantly put everyone at ease. And then, almost as if on cue, the rain stopped, the clouds opened, and the couple exchanged vows under a burst of late-day sunshine…complete with a rainbow. Guests later told them every wedding should start with cocktail hour first.

Nicole and Andrew kept their signature cocktails timeless with two classics: A crisp Margarita and a smooth Manhattan—the perfect nods to both of their tastes.

In the warm, wood-paneled bridal suite, Nicole prepped for the big day ahead. After hair and makeup, her bridesmaids helped her into her gown and put the finishing touches on her look.

Nicole wore “Brie” by Alyssa Kristin, a stunningly simple and modern gown chosen for its comfort and classic silhouette. To make it uniquely her own, she added a detachable off-the-shoulder back cowl that flowed beautifully as she moved through the day. Andrew complemented her look with a crisp black Mantoni tux—classic, clean, and effortless. Her bouquet, by North Fork florist,True Elizabeth, featured an airy, garden-picked mix of: sweet pea, ranunculus, butterfly ranunculus, scabiosa, poppy pods, chamomile, and lady's mantle.
