The bride’s dress was the inspiration for this quiet luxury wedding
Jessica and Aaron were high school sweethearts, sharing the joy of close family connections from a young age. On what would be one of their last holidays with Jessica’s grandparents, Aaron proposed. He coordinated with Jessica’s mom to stage a “family photo.” Aaron reorganized the group, pulled Jessica to the center, and made sure to capture the moment on video. “It’s a memory that will always stay with us and a video we’ll cherish forever,” shared the couple. Quiet luxury encompassed Jessica and Aaron’s California wedding at Carmel Valley Ranch, crafting a weekend that felt both warm and inviting, yet elevated and chic. Rather than following a rigid theme, the couple focused on a feeling — trusting their vendors, including Kate Ford Events, Ashley Carlascio, and Seascape Flowers, to unify the style organically.
A refined contemporary invitation suite
Refined watercolor invitations by Heart Paper Soul in a thoughtful ombre palette and in customized contemporary fonts set the tone for the event.
Design inspiration - Monique L'Huillier
Colors and design elements were inspired by Jessica’s flowing organza Monique L'Huillier gown, printed with colorful flowers and butterflies, influencing everything from linens and floral arrangements to the bridesmaids’ dresses.
Bridesmaid style: luxury textures
The bridesmaids wore chocolate brown dresses in a variety of patterns and prints, with two in baby pink fitted dresses. The bouquets by Seascape Flowers incorporated elegantly dripping greenery for an organic, luxe look.
Work-of-art welcome signs
Jessica hand painted welcome signs, designed custom invitations and paper goods, and even created personalized scarves for guests — perfect as both dance-floor props and keepsakes.
Perfectly draped details
The ceremony took place under two large trees accented with delicate ivory draping - perfect for the California breeze. Aisle arrangements featured textured and dripping greenery with white hydrangea accents.
Personalized postcard seating wall
Emphasizing personal, DIY touches, Aaron collected vintage postcards from their home states of Florida and California, writing individual notes to each guest, displayed on an escort card wall titled “From Coast to Coast, the People We Love the Most.”

Fruit & veggie centerpieces
Fruit and vegetables were artfully incorporated into the floral centerpieces, evoking the rich texture and vibrancy of a vintage Dutch Golden Age painting. Pears, grapes, and artichokes paired alongside dahlias, anthuriums, and amaranth to create a divine garden-dining aesthetic.
Simple reception style update
For the reception, the bride removed her dress sleeves and turned the Monique L'Huillier gown into a strapless, illusion neckline masterpiece.
Unique outdoor lighting: black lanterns
The dinner setting, framed by stunning valley views, string lights, and black lanterns, transitioned seamlessly from afternoon into evening. From their Thursday arrival to the last guest’s goodbye, the couple savored the natural ease of the weekend. “We got to watch our worlds collide,” they reflected.
