Elegant boho-by-the-bay wedding on Pawley’s Island in South Carolina
Kaitlyn and Brandon’s love story began in a way that’s very much of this time -they swiped right on Bumble. What started as a digital connection quickly blossomed into a real-life romance rooted in adventure, shared experiences, and plenty of laughter. When it came to their wedding day, Kaitlyn and Brandon wanted their celebration at The Pelican Inn to feel timeless yet distinctive. With the help of Ash Events, the result was boho chic at its finest. Beneath string lights and the sweeping Spanish moss of the inn’s historic grounds, the evening carried an effortless elegance, all captured by Meagan Forbes Co.

On trend: Cala lily bouquet
Brandon wore a dark forest green suit from J. Crew, while Kaitlyn was styled in floral-patterned satin dress from Prea James Bridal with puff-sleeve details and a green and white Cala lily bouquet.
Natural setting - natural arch
The couple exchanged vows amongst the property's trees, bringing in a tropical palm-inspired arch by Willow Event Designs for their ceremony backdrop. Keeping the arch as natural as its surroundings helped create the vibe that it had always been there and was an elevated part of the setting itself.
Portraits by the bay
The newlyweds made sure to escape with their photographer to take timelessly chic, windblown portraits by the water.
Floral focal point: organic green
Rather than opting for abundant florals, Kaitlyn and Brandon chose to let greenery take center stage. Lush table arrangements by Willow Event Designs gave the reception a natural, organic feel, while pops of personality were added with deep green sofas and shimmering gold tables. The balance of comfort and style created a setting that was both inviting and editorial.
Surprise Mr. Softee
Every detail spoke to who they are as a couple, not just thoughtful, but fun-loving too. Guests were surprised with a Mister Softee truck, a nostalgic and playful addition that brought smiles all around.
Rose bud wedding exit
Instead of opting for a more traditional sparkler or bubble exit, the bride and groom opted for a delicate dried rose bud exit before a final fun late-night stop with their photographer.
Late-night shoot @ waffle house
In true Kaitlyn-and-Brandon fashion, the night ended with something completely their own: a late-night stop at Waffle House for a quick couple’s shoot. It was the perfect mix of style and spontaneity, grounding their chic, elevated day with a dose of humor and authenticity.
