Custom wedding crest
A highlight of the event was the custom wedding crest designed by Sara herself, featuring symbols like a pink elephant (from her beloved childhood toy), a golden snitch, and images reflecting their cherished places. This crest became a signature element, appearing on details throughout the celebration, from cornhole boards to napkins and menus, embodying the couple’s creativity and love story.
Featured designer: Allison Webb
Sara embodied classic elegance in an Allison Webb gown with a dramatic bow train and pearl trim, while Drew looked sharp in a light blue Suit Supply ensemble accented with meaningful cufflinks and a tie bearing pink elephants. Together, their attire reflected tradition, personal significance, and modern style.
An intimate first look...
Their day began with an intimate first look at Gulph Mills Golf Club, a meaningful family venue recently restored to showcase its timeless beauty.
... followed by a private vow reading
This quiet moment was followed by a vow reading that allowed the couple to fully absorb the day without an audience, a memory they treasured. Their choice to privately exchange vows beforehand added a layer of intimacy to the occasion.
Traditional ceremony | personal touches
The ceremony at St. David’s Episcopal Church was infused with personal touches. Sara’s entrance to Lana Del Rey’s “Say Yes to Heaven” held deep sentiment, while the recessional echoed her parents' wedding with Widor’s “Toccata.”
Cocktails & koozies & cornhole, oh my!
Custom cocktails named after their favorite things, like the “Pink Elephant,” added a playful touch, complemented by custom wedding koozies for each guest. Guests had the option of playing cornhole on custom boards, as well, which remained out throughout the evening.
