their love story
Hanh met Justin while she was studying Engineering, and Justin was a Psychology major. She practically lived in the library while Justin walked past it to go back to Unihall. The two of them probably would have never crossed paths if not thanks to one extroverted mutual friend. It took Justin countless coffees, take-out orders, an unofficial date at Sprolo, and lots of willpower to wake up early just so he could catch me in the library and confess his love. And the rest is history…
the destination: vietnam
As someone who has been away from home since the age of 18, Hanh has always carried Vietnam in her heart. For her, getting married in Vietnam wasn’t just about having a wedding—it was about reconnecting with her roots, celebrating her heritage, and sharing it with the people she loves most. After tossing around a few ideas (and Justin trying to sneak in a vote for an overseas elopement, no less!), the couple finally settled on Phu Quoc. Why? Because where else can you say your vows against the backdrop of the most breathtaking sunset you’ll ever lay eyes on? Regent Phu Quoc is a world-class resort with a design so exquisite, it's pure luxury. From its serene architecture to the seamless blend of nature and sophistication, every corner felt like it was crafted to make memories.
the invitations
Guests received a gorgeous assortment of invitations and announcements ranging from a map of the destination to a timeline of events. Seriously, how excited would you be to receive an invitation suite like this? We can't pick a favorite element, and we absolutely love the handpainted vibe and the hint at the colors and shapes from the wedding design.
the vibe: psychedelic rainbow joy
Hanh and Justin’s wedding brought together 100 guests from around the globe, and the couple wanted everyone to experience the richness of Vietnamese culture. Beyond attending the wedding, they encouraged their guests to explore the beauty of Pearl Island. To ensure a memorable experience, Hanh dedicated her time to creating a curated list of activities and must-visit eateries, allowing their guests to fully enjoy a vibrant weekend in Phu Quoc. From local delicacies to exciting adventures, every detail was thoughtfully planned by Cat Hoa Moments and The F Lab, offering an authentic taste of Vietnam and showcasing the island’s charm in celebration of their special day.
After just one video call, Hanh entrusted us, The F Lab, to bring her vision to life—a full 18 months before the celebration. Working with such a fun and bubbly bride made the entire process feel like an enchanting adventure through a whimsical theme park, filled with creativity, heartfelt personal touches, and boundless joy. Hanh and Justin’s wedding was a vibrant celebration of love, aptly themed “Abundance of Joy.” The event radiated joy with colorful and bubbly elements woven throughout. Bow details added a charming touch, from the elegant ceremony stage to the velvet bows adorning nametags. The centerpieces featured whimsical mushroom sculptures, a playful nod to Hanh’s childhood nickname, "Nấm." Thoughtful touches honored the memory of Hanh’s beloved father, making the day even more meaningful.
the fashion
For the beach ceremony, Hanh wore a timeless lace and tulle ballgown by Monique Lhuillier. She paired the look with a regal lace-trimmed veil and long-sleeved lace bodice. Then, to switch things up for the reception, she changed into a lace mermaid gown by Oscar de la Renta. Justin leaned into the day's color palette with his look, opting for a mauve sport coat paired with a white-on-white linen shirt and pant set. The bridesmaids also represented the color palette in a mix of pink, red, and purple.
playful portraits
Wedding photography can feel so serious, so when we came across these playful pics, we simply had to share them. Sometimes the key to getting the perfect serious pic or casual candid is breaking the ice like this.
trend alert: color-coded dress codes
Each table was uniquely set in a different color, and guests embraced the theme by dressing to match, creating a lively and visually stunning atmosphere.
We love that more couples are embracing dress codes and even taking it one step further by providing mood boards and color palettes for their guests. Just look at the difference it makes in the wedding photos!
the cake
From the custom-designed flower cake table to the edible parrot sculptures, we seriously can't think of a more appropriate cake for this incredible wedding! See what we mean? The bar has been raised...
