their love story

timeless fall wedding ideas

Amanda and Rob’s story began at a young age, exchanging timelines of when they had crushes on one another. Throughout their friendship, they remained close from middle school until college, where they returned home each summer to hang out with their shared group of friends. Then, in the summer of 2015, their relationship took a new turn—they started going on dates. What began as a shift in their dynamic soon blossomed into something more. Rob officially asked Amanda to be his girlfriend, and from that moment on, the two spent the next nine years together. In the fall of 2022, Rob orchestrated a surprise Amanda would never forget. He took her to the Westchester Country Club in New York–where Amanda’s sister worked as an event planner–under the guise of a club tour. With her sister’s secret assistance, Rob arranged for a photographer and set up an elaborate display of roses and candles. The proposal was everything they could have dreamed of—“simply magical and a day we’ll cherish forever.”

the vision: rustic elegance

pastel fall florals

With a shared love of winery tours on the weekends, Amanda and Rob’s fall wedding at Red Maple Vineyards in New York was the perfect blend of rustic charm and elegant simplicity. The couple approached their celebration with a “less is more” mentality, choosing low-profile floral arrangements by Ohana Event Co. in autumnal neutrals to complement the season’s natural beauty. They leaned on the combined expertise of Amanda Sialiano, Christina Sialiano, and Abbey Turner to bring their vision to life. As the sun dipped behind the trees surrounding the Hudson River, Amanda and Rob exchanged vows in a tranquil hilltop ceremony officiated by a close family friend. The altar, crafted from branches, framed the couple as a wine barrel marked the wedding aisle. “His thoughtful messages, words of advice, and well-wishes during our ceremony left so many of our guests in tears. He was definitely a highlight of our wedding,” they recalled. The reception took place in a rustic indoor space, where nearly one hundred candles created a warm, glowing atmosphere. Greenery cascaded from the tables to the floor, while a striking floral arch above the couple’s head table made a bold statement against the barn’s soaring ceilings.

As a nod to the vineyard venue, the couple went with a rich wine color for the wedding invitations and a rounded silhouette. They also had custom matchboxes (the favor of the year) made with their monogram.

the cocktails

For cocktail hour they offered two signature drinks inspired by their fur babies. The seasonal bevs were a sparkling Apple Cider Mimosa and an Orange Maple Old Fashioned—YUM!

the fashion

structured a line wedding dress

Amanda’s gown, a stunning Suzanne Neville design, was the result of trying on “hundreds” of dresses before falling in love with a style that was the complete opposite of her original vision. Her final choice was a jacquard rose-print ballgown, which she described as her “absolute dream dress.” The night before the wedding, Amanda received a special gift from her mother—a beautiful handmade purse sewn from her own wedding dress. Amanda had always hoped to incorporate this family heirloom into her celebration, and it added a deeply sentimental touch to her special day.

the cake

naked cake with fresh flowers

Perched on a wine barrel and a wood slice charger sat a three-tiered naked cake decorated in fresh autumnal florals. While ornately decorated and uber-modern cakes are currently trending, this understated design is the perfect complement to the rustic theme. So, take this as your sign to ditch the trends for whatever fits your vision!
