The Vibe: Contrast Is Key
The vision behind this shoot was to explore modern bridal style through contrast: structure and softness, tradition and individuality. Every element was intentionally curated to feel elevated yet effortless, allowing the bride’s presence and the craftsmanship of the design to lead. Set at the historic Dyker Beach Golf Course, the shoot blends contemporary bridal fashion with classic architecture, creating a story that feels refined and quietly bold. The editorial was shot by SOPTYE, whose refined, fashion-driven perspective elevates the editorial while preserving its emotional core. With a keen eye for detail and composition, she captures the balance between structure and softness, allowing the gown, the setting, and the bride to exist in perfect harmony.
Sculptural white blooms and cascading textures echo the organic elements of the design while reinforcing the editorial nature of the shoot. Mae looks elegant holding it in the Grand Ballroom, in all its neoclassical, Georgian-inspired interior glory. Its tall windows, refined European detailing, and elegant drapery evoke a timeless old-world salon. Working with an all-white floral palette of anthuriums, ranunculus, orchids, and garden roses accented by cascading green amaranthus, Scarlett Blooms paired vintage green glassware with crisp ivory linens and gilded china. Every element was intentionally curated to feel elevated yet effortless, allowing the bride’s presence and the craftsmanship of the design to lead.
The Venue
A Brooklyn landmark, Dyker Beach Golf Course offers classic interiors, expansive views, and a versatile backdrop for modern celebrations. Each space supports a seamless blend of tradition and contemporary design.
Getting Ready
This intimate bridal suite moment captures the quiet anticipation before the ceremony. Scarlet Blooms orchestrated the decor and florals. For this scene, they used a bouquet of soft white and blush blooms, featuring garden roses, phalaenopsis orchids, and cascading amaranthus, resting on a mirrored vanity, creating a serene and romantic atmosphere that extends the wedding's organic elegance into every detail. Mae is wearing an NK Bride custom bridal greeting robe dress with a cinched waist. It is made of double-faced silk satin and edged with a delicate scalloped lace. A custom NK Bride hair accessory, a delicate pearl-and-crystal floral comb, adds a romantic touch to Mae’s waves.
Trending: Personalized Magazines
She sits next to a custom wedding magazine, created for Mae by Jasmin Lantz, as a modern way to tell a couple’s story. Styled like a fashion editorial, the magazine transforms personal moments into a tangible keepsake.
The Fashion
At the center of the editorial is a custom NK Bride wedding gown, designed to embody modern femininity. A satin boned bodice with a dropped waistline creates sculptural structure, while delicate blush floral embroidery introduces warmth and romance. Subtle yet expressive, the embroidery adds depth without overpowering the silhouette. The gown is finished with a draped pleat duchess satin ball skirt, pleated to create movement, and finished with a soft train. The train is timeless in form but modern in execution. A cascading silk-layer Italian tulle drop veil completes the look, adding lightness and fluidity. A pair of sculptural white heels by Nina Shoes grounds the look, adding height and confidence while maintaining the editorial’s refined simplicity. Monique of Resilient Beauty’s vision behind the bridal hairstyle was to create something elegant and timeless, embracing beauty through soft structure and refined simplicity. Polished yet effortless, the style frames the face with graceful movement while allowing the bride's natural features to shine. Instead of a traditional bouquet, Mae carries a floral purse, transforming florals into a fashion statement.
