Bahama Beach Wedding Bursting with Color and Coastal Charm
The moment Cole and Martine met, they knew they’d found their person. Introduced by mutual friends at a bar in their early twenties, they instantly clicked, and seven years later, Cole proposed on a romantic, rainy walk in the park. When they returned from their walk, they were met by a surprise party of friends and family, all waiting eagerly to celebrate their engagement. Cole and Martine, both captivated by color, hosted a sophisticated beachside wedding in the Bahamas with the help of Chic Bahamas Weddings and captured by Caroline Lima, where shades of coral, orange, and pink weren’t just a color palette but a mood.

The Dunmore Hotel on Harbour Island offered guests an upscale experience and pristine white sand beaches.
Bridal style: beachy luxury
Martine’s bridal look was luxuriously beachy, featuring dimensional embroidery, delicate flower petals, and a corseted bodice by upscale designer Ines di Santo.

On trend: oyster shell name tags

Floral accent: birds of paradise
Reception tables were accented with rattan candle holders and chargers, and place settings were otherwise kept light and airy to allow the centerpieces by X to stand out. Birds of Paradise and Monstera leaves were complemented by elevated white hydrangeas for a lush, bridal look.
Tropical luxury option: orchids
Birds of Paradise were also featured on the three-tier white fondant cake by Sugar Couture and complemented with elegant orchid blooms.
Incorporating Bahamian traditions
Just before the dancing began, a traditional Junkanoo rush swept through the reception, energizing guests and bringing everyone to their feet.
Reception bridal style: feathers!
For the reception celebration, Martine changed into a playful feathered dress by Retrofete, paired with white Jimmy Choo sneakers.
Advice from the bride
Martine’s top tip for a successful destination wedding: Host a few events leading up to the big day, giving guests a chance to connect and, by the final night, feel like old friends.
