East coast meets west coast at this “bows and baskets” garden wedding
The design was fun and funky at this East Coast meets West Coast vibes. Because bride Madison grew up splitting her time between the Bay Area and New Jersey, she wanted both to be reflected in the overall design, and her vendors pulled off just that. Planned with the help of Bustle Events and captured by Mashaida, this wedding at Filoli was perfectly executed with a color palette that reflected the bright, vibrant colors of a California sunset paired with the preppy stripes and details of the East Coast.
Garden-inspired bridal style
Bride Madison stunned in a floral applique gown complete with a delicate bow. Her bouquet by Lambert Floral Co. featured white roses, white hydrangeas, and delicate ivy branches tied with an off-white silk ribbon.
On trend: bridesmaid baskets
Madison wanted to forgo the traditional bridesmaids' bouquets, so the bridesmaids carried custom floral baskets each full of fun, joyful, and colorful flowers to pop in front of their custom Markarian bridesmaid dresses.

On trend: stripes!

Espresso martinis & a cabana
The couple knew they wanted to end the night with espresso martinis and a pool party disco focused on the historical pool pavilion. Custom striped draping that matched the dining table linens and made the pavilion feel like a cabana did the trick. In the cabana, custom wallpapered back bar shelves included San Francisco icons, such as the Golden Gate Bridge.
Providing for an impromptu pool party
Guests enjoyed an espresso martini bar, along with towels, hats, bathing suits, and sweatshirts for everyone who jumped in the pool with the couple! And yes, the couple did jump in. The night ended with this late-night swim and dancing on the dancefloor till midnight!
