Western-glam wedding overflowing with toffee roses and sunset dahlias
As modern love stories often go, Chelsea and Lloyd’s began with a simple swipe right. The pair met on Hinge while living in Arlington, Virginia, and their first date quickly turned into many more-each one filled with laughter, a shared curiosity, and a growing sense that something special was unfolding. Early in their relationship, they discovered a mutual dream of moving out West. Drawn by a love for nature and a desire for a slower pace of life, they set their sights on Boise, Idaho and made that dream a reality together. Shortly after the move, during a trip back to North Carolina’s Outer Banks, a place where Chelsea spent much of her childhood, Lloyd proposed at the historic Avalon Pier in Kill Devil Hills. It was a moment rooted in meaning and memory, the perfect start to their next chapter. They decided to invite all their friends and family from the East Coast to experience their new home together at their epic wedding. Focused on great music, fantastic food, and a love of the outdoors, this wedding at Trail Creek Cabin planned with the help of Dreamer Events and captured by Maggie Grace Photography was a celebration that felt magical, natural, and entirely personal.
Luxury mountain-inspired details
For their wedding, Chelsea and Lloyd had imagined mountain views, whimsical florals, and bohemian touches-earthy tones, wildflower-inspired arrangements, and a carefree, romantic energy that reflected their spirit as a couple. They wanted the day to feel joyful and intentional, with every detail infused with love and meaning. Even more impactful, getting married on a stunning fall day in September meant that the aspens had changed color!
Featured accessory: bolo tie
Lloyd chose a green suit with a bolo tie, while his groomsmen wore tan/brown earth-toned suits.
Color palette: muted fall-tones
Chelsea's bridesmaids wore muted fall-tone multi-colored dresses to compliment the early fall landscape.
Mountain landscape design inspo
With the help of an incredible wedding team, their vision came to life in the most breathtaking way, and the landscape played a huge role in their design inspiration. The tablescapes were all finished with western/boho inspired accent colors- decorated with antlers, wooden details, and sage green tones.
