Whimsical lilac & chartreuse wedding with a custom wine window
Carissa and Anthony’s wedding was a joyful, design-forward garden celebration that blended romantic whimsy with bold color and Italian-inspired hospitality. The couple got engaged during a Christmas family photo shoot at their new home. While Carissa believed they were simply taking holiday portraits, Anthony had secretly arranged for a videographer to hide inside the house. When they stepped back inside to warm up by the fireplace, he surprised her with a heartfelt proposal - a moment they were able to capture forever. As the founder and creative director of Carissa Corsi Events, Carissa designed the entire wedding herself, hosted at the stunning Blithewold Mansion and captured by Stephanie Berenson Photography.
A playful color palette
The couple leaned into a fresh and unexpected palette of lilac, chartreuse, and soft peach to create a vibrant garden atmosphere.
On trend: balloon sleeves
Carissa wore a romantic Martina Liana gown with balloon sleeves and a corset bodice, styled with David Yurman jewelry and Gucci shoes, while the bridesmaids wore mismatched pastel dresses in varying textures and silhouettes.

Ceremony on the lawn
Their outdoor ceremony took place on the lawn and featured timeless white seating with textured, asymmetrical wildflower columns by Absuna at the altar.
Unique detail: custom wine window
The outdoor ceremony flowed into a lawn cocktail hour featuring “Cantina de Forloney,” a custom wine window inspired by the couple’s first trip to Florence.
On trend: layered fruits and florals
Inside the tented reception, layered florals incorporating fruits and vegetables, a custom patterned dance floor, and an L-shaped bar with café seating created a lively and immersive guest experience.
What we love: cheeky bar signs
Carissa incorporated cheeky bar signs that brought a sense of humor to the event. Also notable - the couple's nonalcoholic menu options!
Dance floor espresso martinis
One of the most memorable moments came when espresso martinis were passed on the dance floor later in the evening. Guests also found the bride’s grandmother’s homemade Italian cookies waiting at each table, a sweet and personal nod to family tradition.
Advice from the bride
Carissa’s advice to couples: focus on how you want guests to feel throughout the celebration. “Design is important, but creating moments that feel warm, personal, and unforgettable is what truly brings a wedding to life."
