their love story
We were in some of the same circles in Los Angeles, and I finally mustered up the courage to message her and ask her out. Our first date was in the depths of COVID, and while all the restaurants were closed, we still made the best of it! We spent some quality time getting to know one another, and we just knew that it was true love.
I proposed to Melanie in Paris the day before New Year's. I knew she cared about celebrating with her family after I proposed, so a great way to surprise her was to do it out of town in her favorite city and have her entire family waiting there after I popped the question. About 10 minutes after proposing, we had a photographer taking pictures of us when both our families came out for the surprise. She had no idea her family would be there, as she thought they were all in Los Angeles. Both our families spent the next few days celebrating together in Paris. It is definitely among our favorite memories.
the vision: written in the stars
Designed by The Besharati Group, the theme of the wedding revolved around entertainment and experience. We brought entertainment from all around the world, including DJs, bands, harpists, and violists. We embraced what it means to have a good party, and everyone danced until the sun came up! With help from Empty Vase, we transformed this space into a night of dancing under the stars. We recruited vendors from all over the world, providing a one-of-a-kind experience for everyone involved. The two-day event encompassed light and love and truly embodied the unity of families joining into one.
The most challenging part of this wedding was the ceiling installation. A team from Mexico had to hand-sew/create an enclosed wavy cave across the entire ceiling. The production took over a week to make this happen, and it was the “wow” factor of this wedding.
the first look
Jeff stood in the garden, a moment of quiet before the big day. Melanie snuck up behind him and placed her hand over his eyes playfully. He turned around and swept her right up into his arms, his beautiful bride.
the dress
Melanie set the tone for the day in a gorgeous taffeta ballgown by Ines di Santo. From the opera glove sleeves to the rhinestone-studded bows on her shoes, these accessories were on point!
the entertainment
This couple went all in on the entertainment, hiring four different companies, including live music and professional dancers, to really get the party started.
the cake
Mimicking the decadent draping on the bride's gown, the towering four-tiered wedding cake was the perfect end to a perfect evening.
