Blush dreams and dramatic draping at brookgreen gardens

Lucy and Spain’s love story began in the hallways of middle school, where an early friendship eventually grew into the kind of lasting bond that only deepens with time. Years later, that story came full circle as they stood hand in hand at the breathtaking Brookgreen Gardens, ready to begin their next chapter as husband and wife. Designed and planned by Ash Events, their ceremony took place at the iconic Live Oak Allee, a pathway framed by centuries-old oak trees draped in Spanish moss, creating a naturally stunning aisle.

Following the ceremony, guests were welcomed to the Holliday Cottage for a reception that was a masterclass in thoughtful design. Inlet Affairs created an indulgent dining experience with interactive pasta, seafood, and sushi stations, allowing guests to enjoy both the food and the atmosphere at their own pace. A custom-built green bar that matched the stage acted as a central focal point, while off-white lounge seating from EventWorks Rentals invited guests to relax between dances. Linens from Stradley Davidson added texture and softness to the tables, complemented by custom signage from Oh Darling Details. As the evening unfolded, guests enjoyed live music from Tru Sol Band. 

At the center of the ceremony stood a floral-covered cross designed by RSG Event Designs, dressed in a romantic palette of pink, white, and green. These soft tones were accented with touches of fun, bold patterns woven into the day’s décor, reflecting the couple’s lively personalities. Inside the reception, guests were greeted by a lush hanging floral installation that floated above the dance floor, setting the tone for an evening of celebration.

Lucy’s entrance was a breathtaking moment. She wore a timeless Ava Laurenne gown, with hair and makeup perfectly styled by Beautifully Wed. Her bridesmaids glowed in light pink gowns from Revelry, while the groomsmen, dressed by Thomas and Sons, stood beside Spain in classic black suits.

A monogrammed ice sculpture from Artisan Ice Sculptures served as both a statement piece and a personal touch.

The dessert display featured a three-tiered white cake with intricate 3-D floral embellishments and delicate macarons, crafted by Holly's Bakes and Cakes.
