the vision: southern charm meets the west

tented wedding reception in the grand teton mountains

John David and Emma welcomed guests to a mid-summer fête in Victor, Wyoming, designed and planned by Latham Stevens Events, where the Grand Tetons framed every moment. Their invitation suite introduced a watercolor trout sketch—drawn by the bride’s father—that became the celebration’s signature motif. Its jewel‑toned scales inspired a lively palette of dusty teal, blush, marigold, magenta, and peach, echoed in patterned runners, napkins, and tapered candles. On the wedding day, a traditional Episcopal ceremony filled St. Francis of the Tetons with color, the bride’s bouquet of crisp white blooms standing in elegant contrast to the floral‑laden aisle. After a petal toss exit, guests moved to the lawn for cocktail hour at a custom bar wrapped in the trout illustration, sipping signature cocktails while a string quartet played.

Cane‑back chairs, wooden farm tables, and a sailcloth tent draped in green leaf fabric balanced Western rusticity with polished Southern charm, while arrangements by Plush Floral, of garden roses, ranunculus, peonies, foxglove, and delphinium, cascaded down each table. Dinner unfolded beneath the tent on a checkerboard dance‑floor lawn: Chilean sea bass and braised beef short rib plated service, and heartfelt toasts. From the patterned linens and mix‑and‑match textures to the trout‑crested bar and twinkle‑lit tent, the celebration seamlessly blended southern hospitality with Teton‑sized views—proof that when bold color meets mountain air, magic follows.

As a nod to their fishy inspo, guests were escorted to their tables by fish-shaped escort cards on tiny hooks. Too cute!

bride in a lavender field

Like something straight out of a fairy tale, the bride frolicked through fields of lavender in a stunning gown by Maggie Louise. The generously cut, silk, A-line skirt added an element of drama while the lace bodice embraced the romantic vibes from the day. She paired the look with a lace-trimmed veil and blush cowgirl boots.
