Luke proposed on May 17, 2024, during a romantic getaway at Troutbeck in the Hudson Valley, a beautiful historic inn with farm-to-table dining and sprawling grounds. After a walk together across the red bridge on the property, he asked Alex to marry him. It was quiet, intimate, and absolutely perfect. That evening, they celebrated with a lovely dinner at the inn, and she assumed they’d be enjoying a full weekend away. The next day, Luke told her they had a small dinner planned back in the city with just a few family members, but when they walked in, it turned out to be a full surprise party with more than 50 of their closest family and friends, many of whom had traveled in just to celebrate with them. The entire weekend was filled with love, joy, and surprises, truly the best weekend of their lives.

Alex is very detail-oriented and brought in McKenzie with Plan with Posh to execute the perfect day at Memorial Art Gallery. The florals by Stacy K were bold and elegant. The signage and calligraphy from Posey Letter Press set the tone for the wedding weekend. The details of the china at the reception were the perfect touch.

Their wedding invitation suite was timeless and hinted at the sophisticated color palette. The calligraphy font and burgundy ink were carried through to the wedding day itself and made appearances on both the program and the vow books, which were each fastened with a silk ribbon.

Alex wore an elegant A-line gown with a unique, sculpted neckline by Monique Lhuiller. For the ceremony, she paired the look with a long-sleeve lace bodice and a voluminous tulle veil that danced in the wind as she walked down the aisle. Her bridesmaids each selected a rust-colored dress by Jenny Yoo for the occasion. Luke and his men sported classic black tuxedos for the black-tie affair. Later that night, Alex changed into a bridal mini with an adorable bubble hem.
